Chapter 65 - Chapter 65

When Yui saw the time, she immediately woke up, sat up, and hurriedly prepared to change her clothes.

Akira handed her the clothes and quietly left the room without staying any longer.

Yui quickly changed, went to the bathroom to wash up, and then joined him at the dining table.

Akira had already prepared breakfast, and the two of them ate quietly, exchanging few words.

After finishing their meal, Yuigahama Yui took the initiative to help clean the dishes.

The process went smoothly, and they quickly finished.

Later, the two arrived at school.

Ebina Hina walked over with a bright smile, looking at them curiously.

Yuigahama Yui blushed slightly upon seeing her, while Miura Yumiko's expression was a bit more complicated. She had already learned from Yui that she was living at Akira's apartment.

The three of them had a small chat group where they often discussed daily matters.

"By the way, Fujimiya-kun, I've finished writing my story. Would you like to take a look?" Ebina Hina asked, taking a small notebook from her bag.

"The story about observing the target?" Akira asked, glancing toward Hikigaya Hachiman.

Ebina Hina nodded, smiling.

Akira took the notebook and began reading carefully. He had seen similar stories before, written by female authors he had met when he was still a newcomer in the creative world.

Those stories had always been full of detail, sometimes so vivid that he found them unpleasant to recall.

Compared to that, Hina's story was much more restrained, though it followed a similar premise.

Hikigaya Hachiman's character remained largely unchanged, except that Akira's involvement had been removed. The story focused on Totsuka Ayaka noticing Hachiman's tennis skills and gradually approaching him, letting the plot unfold naturally.

Of course, the characters' surnames had been altered, leaving only Hachiman and Ayaka unchanged.

(T/N:-...💀)

After finishing, Akira returned the notebook to Ebina Hina.

"Fujimiya-kun, what do you think of my story?" she asked, adjusting her glasses, eager for feedback.

"Have you ever considered becoming an animation screenwriter?" Akira asked.

"Huh?" Ebina Hina blinked in surprise.

"Let's talk about it during lunch break," Akira said, without elaborating further.

"Alright," Ebina Hina replied.

She didn't press the matter since class was about to start.

.....

The morning passed quickly,

After lunch break, Yuigahama Yui and Miura Yumiko headed to the Service Club together, while Ebina Hina brought her lunch and followed Akira Fujimiya as he left the classroom.

Saki Kawasaki, who was silently observing from a distance, was slightly stunned.

How did these two end up together like this?

The corridor was quiet—

Ebina Hina followed behind Akira, not asking where he was headed. She already knew that this path led to the rooftop.

Once they reached it, Akira walked toward an empty chair. Ebina Hina sat beside him but kept a small distance.

"I once wrote a story where the heroines were inspired by Yui and Yukinoshita…" Akira began, explaining a tale he had created earlier.

The more Ebina Hina listened, the stranger her expression became. It was an interesting story, but the focus on two girls caught her off guard.

Akira noticed her reaction.

"This is a story that appeals to a certain type of audience. It's similar to your story style—it resonates with a specific group."

"I see! Fujimiya-kun wants me to write stories I like to attract that audience?" Ebina Hina's eyes brightened.

"Yes, You should know the two types of stories. Even if I don't yet have the means to buy an animation company, I can offer a good price for your script. It could easily be adapted into animation in the future." Akira nodded.

"My stories are really just a hobby..." Ebina Hina said, hesitating slightly.

"If you can turn your hobby into work, that would be excellent. As a creator, you should always love your own stories and characters," Akira said gently.

"I like my stories too, but I don't have much confidence in my scripts. If you want them, you don't need to pay me. I just want a chance to consult with a professional animation screenwriter," Ebina Hina said, smiling.

"If I adopt your script, I'll pay the market price. And if you want professional guidance, that's fine too. You could go to Flash Animation with Yui—there are plenty of experienced animation writers there." Akira thought for a moment before adding.

"Sounds perfect. I'm very interested," Ebina Hina said, her eyes shining.

Flash Animation had numerous anime writers who adapted manga or light novels for animation. Though they rarely created original works, learning from them would be valuable.

Akira had selected Hina not only because of her connection to Yui but also for the stories she created. Hina understood this and wanted to seize the opportunity to improve herself.

"Fujimiya-kun, can I ask you something?" Ebina Hina asked suddenly.

"No. Let's go to the Service Club. You don't need to tell Yui about our conversation. And I've already found a solution for the issue you asked about last time," Akira said, standing.

"Oh?" Ebina Hina realized he meant Miura Yumiko.

"Yumiko has potential beyond her current skills. She's hardworking but lacks opportunities. I want to give her a chance," Akira said earnestly.

"A chance?" Ebina Hina looked puzzled.

Akira didn't elaborate. His plans were limited by finances. To give Yumiko a proper opportunity, he needed sufficient resources—not just for her, but for himself as well.

.....

At Future Comics Publishing House, Nanako Tamura stared at the letters piled on her desk, her face full of confusion.

What was happening?

She had stepped out to collect manuscripts, and now her table was covered.

Randomly picking up one letter, her eyes widened as she read the note. She then meticulously checked each letter.

When she finished, she was utterly shocked. Ninety-five percent of the letters were from Akira's readers, the rest from other mangaka.

Normally, editors only delivered letters to a mangaka home once a week, and the number was far fewer.

Nanako Tamura had never seen a new artist receive this many letters.

"What on earth…?" she murmured.

"Nanako, just in time," a cheerful voice called.

"Editor-in-Chief Sato?" Nanako looked up.

"Come with me—there's good news!" Yumiko Sato said with a bright smile.

Curious, Nanako followed her into the office. Sato tapped a few times on her phone and handed it over.

Nanako took a look, her face a mixture of disbelief and awe.

"What… what is happening?"

"I didn't expect Akira Fujimiya's comic to be recognized by professional mangaka," Sato explained. "These established artists treated his work like a river in the desert—like discovering water after a long search."

Indeed, Akira had received letters because top-selling cartoonists praised his work publicly. Over thirty well-known artists had commented positively.

This started yesterday. Today, even mangaka began commenting, without exception praising Akira's manga.

Some were artists with massive fanbases.

Nanako Tamura noticed familiar names in the reviews, and her mind raced.

"Could this be… the Yukinoshita family?" she wondered.

It was plausible. Their recognition could easily account for such positive feedback.

But Sato explained: "Actually, it's not Miss Yukinoshita. Akira's work is strong enough on its own. She didn't need to intervene."

Nanako tilted her head. "Then… why?"

"I recommended Akira to some artists I know and asked them to review his work. They were impressed and some even want to meet him personally. The president also noticed, praising the quality and story. He requested Akira to draw five chapters for a single volume as soon as possible," Sato said with a smile.

"Five chapters for a single volume?" Nanako gasped.

This was only the first chapter.

She thought a volume usually required at least ten chapters before the publisher made such a decision.

This was way too fast.
