Isshiki Iroha turned on the game console and sat down in Akira Fujimiya lap.
Akira looked at the cheerful girl nestled in his arms, picked up the controller, and began playing games with her.
The glow of the screen reflected softly on Iroha's face as she focused on the game, occasionally glancing up at him with a small, satisfied smile.
They played together until around nine o'clock.
Eventually, a wave of sleepiness washed over Isshiki Iroha.
Her eyelids drooped, her head gently tilting toward Akira's chest. Seeing this, Akira quietly put down the controller.
"Kouhai, I'm going to the bathroom for a bit."
"Senpai!!," Isshiki said, suddenly becoming alert again, her drowsiness vanishing.
Akira couldn't help but laugh softly.
Her reactions were always amusing.
…
An hour passed.
Inside Isshiki Iroha's room, the lights had dimmed, creating a warm atmosphere.
Akira put away the game console and controller nicely, then walked over to where Iroha was sitting. He lay down beside her.
The moment he did, Isshiki Iroha scooted closer and snuggled against him.
"Senpai's arms are so warm," she murmured.
"It's summer, not winter," Akira replied.
"If it were winter, would you warm my hands when they're cold?" Iroha asked with a smile.
"Not just your hands. Even your feet," Akira said, glancing at her in his arm.
"Senpai, you don't really li—"
"Yes. I like everything about you," he interrupted.
"Senpai really is a bad senpai."
"Don't you like a bad senpai like me?"
"I like you. I like you the most, Senpai," she whispered before hugging him tightly.
"I like you too," Akira said as he lowered his head and kissed her.
Isshiki Iroha didn't resist.
She wrapped her arms around him and responded earnestly. Akira held her close, his hands slowly becoming less restrained.
After a few minutes, Akira lifted his head and looked at Isshiki Iroha.
Her face was bright red, her breathing faintly unsteady.
She leaned close to whisper something in his ear.
Akira listened, then shook his head with a small laugh.
"You're still young. Don't be too greedy."
"Bad senpai!!."
…..
The night passed in what felt like an instant.
When morning arrived, Akira opened his eyes. The person he'd been holding in his sleep was gone. He sat up, stretched, and got dressed before heading to the living room.
Sounds came from the kitchen — faint clinks of dishes, the rustling of packaging.
He walked to the kitchen doorway.
Isshiki Iroha stood there, preparing breakfast. When she noticed him, she smiled gently.
"What a pity, Kouhai," Akira said. "I thought you'd be wearing strange clothes to surprise me."
"Bad senpai, I would never do that," Iroha puffed up her cheeks.
"I gave you a chance and you didn't take it. You can't blame your senpai."
"Even if I wore strange clothes, Senpai wouldn't do anything, I think~. You're bad and mean in so many ways, but you stick to principles at the strangest times," she muttered, Yes, they didn't do anything last night, well, except for hugging each other tightly and kissing.
Akira chuckled, didn't argue, and walked toward the bathroom.
By the time Isshiki Iroha finished cooking, Akira was already sitting at the dining table. They ate breakfast together quietly. Iroha didn't ask whether he had time that day — she was a very considerate girl. And Akira didn't mention anything about dating her either.
After breakfast, Akira kissed her goodbye and left Isshiki Iroha's house.
She stood at the door and watched him walk away.
…
He took the train, arrived at the station, and walked for a little over ten minutes.
Soon, he arrived in front of Meguri Shiromeguri's apartment.
The moment he arrived, he saw Meguri standing near the apartment entrance. She had clearly dressed up a little, though the changes were subtle.
Even so, the difference was noticeable — she looked more put together than yesterday.
Akira realized immediately where he should take her today. If Meguri properly put on makeup or wore a long skirt, she would certainly look stunning.
When Meguri saw Akira, her face turned red. She walked toward him shyly.
"Senpai is even more beautiful today than yesterday," Akira praised.
"I–Is that so…?" Meguri murmured, embarrassed but clearly happy.
She had woken up early to get ready, looking in the mirror multiple times and searching for quick styling tips online. It was obvious she put effort into her appearance today, and Akira's praise made her feel that all of it had been worth it.
"Senpai, did you bring a lunch box today?" Akira asked.
"I brought sandwiches and fried chicken nuggets," Meguri said softly.
"Good. I want to find a quiet place at lunchtime, lie on your lap, and enjoy your homemade lunch box," Akira said, taking her hand and walking forward.
"P-Please treat me gently," Meguri said, clearly nervous.
It was her first time going on a date with a boy, and she had been thinking about it all morning.
....
20 minutes later—
Inside a hair salon,
Meguri sat in front of a large mirror. Her hands were slightly tense as she held them together in her lap.
"Don't be nervous. You're very cute. Your hairstyle just needs a little adjustment," the hairdresser said kindly.
"Th-Thank you…" Meguri whispered, nervously glancing at Akira through the mirror.
Akira was casually flipping through a magazine from the salon.
The hairdresser removed Meguri's pigtails and gently combed out her hair. Throughout the process, Meguri sat stiffly, unsure what to do with herself. The hairdresser worked with practiced movements, her demeanor calm and reassuring.
The transformation took about an hour.
Meguri went from a country-style pigtail look to a soft, beautiful long-haired style that suited her surprisingly well.
{T/N: NOOOOOO, WHYYYY!}
Akira paid the bill and walked up to her. He reached out and gently stroked her newly styled hair.
"Senpai, you look much better now. Next, let's go check out some cosmetics."
"F-Fujimiya-kun, about the money for the haircut—"
"You don't have to pay me back. Seeing you become more beautiful makes me happy. That's something money can't buy."
"But…"
"Let's go," Akira said, taking her hand and leading her out of the salon.
.....
Inside the Store—
A courteous clerk began teaching Meguri how to apply makeup.
The cosmetics themselves weren't expensive, but Meguri had never used makeup before. Because—
Firstly, she didn't know how to apply it.
Secondly… she felt it was an unnecessary expense.
But Akira didn't think so.
He was willing to invest in Meguri's appearance.
The clerk initially thought she was dealing with a troublesome customer, but Akira handed over 10,000 yen just for teaching Meguri how to apply makeup properly.
Meguri felt her heart tighten. She felt like she owed Akira more and more.
After writing down all the clerk's instructions in her notebook, she left the store with Akira. There were several cosmetics in her bag now, though she had avoided buying anything unnecessary.
Once outside, Akira looked over her face again.
The improvement from the light makeup was around half a point in overall appearance — but that small adjustment enhanced her natural beauty a lot.
"Senpai, the improvement makeup gives you is actually not as big as I expected," Akira said thoughtfully.
"I… I'm not suitable for makeup," Meguri said quietly, as she lowered her head.
"No, that's not what I meant. What I mean is that you're already very beautiful."
"I'm not beautiful…" Meguri said, blushing, averting her head.
"In my heart, Senpai is already a beauty comparable to Yukino" Akira said.
"Yukinoshita-san is indeed beautiful. The difference between us is huge," Meguri murmured.
"Senpai, don't say that. Even if Yukino were here, she wouldn't deny your beauty."
"Thank you, Fujimiya-kun," Meguri said, face red with embarrassment.
"Please wear makeup only when necessary."
"Well… I'll listen to you."
