Without waiting for an answer, Louise grabbed Edwards by the collar, fury dripping from every word.
"I'm actually here because of him, Esper Louise," Edwards replied breathlessly, struggling slightly but not resisting.
I wouldn't even be here if I wasn't threatened by that partner of yours, Edwards screamed inwardly, anger boiling beneath his forced calm.
Edwards had driven as close as he could to the dungeon, but the road was completely blocked by debris—destroyed buildings, shattered pavement, and collapsed structures from recent battles. With no other choice, he'd parked far away and run the rest of the distance on foot.
