Chapter 9 - Final Thoughts on Completion

Although there are still a few extra chapters unfinished, after reading everyone's messages and comments, Ah Biao decided to post the ending remarks in advance.

First of all, thank you for being there, thank you to every reader who supported "Bystanders" with your votes, rewards, comments, and subscriptions, giving Ah Biao the motivation to keep moving forward.

Secondly, thank you for tolerating my various small flaws, such as word choice, typos, taking breaks, and so on.

Again, thank you, for giving me, as a slightly depressed newbie mom, the confidence to be financially independent.

In the past, I was someone who never lifted a finger at home, focused solely on novels and games.

But after getting married, there were mortgage payments; after having a child, there were kid-raising expenses, relying on just my husband, not to mention others' opinions, even I found it quite embarrassing.

But the child is too young and very clingy to mommy, so I couldn't go out to work.

Writing novels provided me with a source of income, although it began with only a few hundred bucks, I believe with my efforts, one day I too can become someone great (feeling shy).

Sincerely, thank you all!

...

Many dear readers might be a bit unsatisfied with the ending I wrote, thinking it's rushed, here I want to clarify, this ending is one that Ah Biao has planned for a long time, it's definitely not an abrupt end due to unforeseen circumstances!

(ps: All I do is watch my child and write novels!)

Why did I set such an ending?

Firstly, just like in fairy tales, the prince and princess lived happily ever after, this ending is already beautiful.

But if we continue to write the story after the prince and princess, it might not be as beautiful as we imagine.

Secondly, I am not very good at writing palace intrigues and family feuds, to avoid a disastrous write, or maybe end up killing off the main male character, I've long thought of stopping at this most beautiful moment.

If anyone is dissatisfied, you can imagine whatever you want, just like how I love to fantasize; actually, when writing about Susu, I inserted myself into the story, or rather, Susu is what I aspire to be like after traveling through time (hehe, did I accidentally reveal too much?).

Thirdly, honestly, I'm not really skilled at writing historical romances, especially without a miraculous male lead, which is very unsettling! This novel initially was meant to be a short piece of just thirty thousand words.

What I really want to write about is cultivation, western fantasy, stories from the Republic of China era or the fifties and sixties (all of these will come in the future!).

As for why "Bystanders" ended up being so long, it's entirely because I couldn't put on the brakes, luckily I stopped in time, otherwise it'd have totally derailed!

Alright, let's leave it here, though it's quite late, I still have to think about the next extra chapter.

Running naked is unbearable!
