Simon Forrester said "Okay" and was about to close the door to leave, but suddenly pointed at the door handle and asked, "Not locking it?"

Sienna Thornton smiled, "There's no one else, it's fine."

Her attitude was amiable and natural, and Simon Forrester could feel it. Ten days ago, he would have thought her friendliness had an ulterior motive, but after the Raines Village incident, he vaguely understood that their relationship had undergone a qualitative change.

This change was natural; no one was deliberately pleasing or going out of their way to be accommodating. It was simply the feeling that they were like people who had lived together for a long time, familiar enough to know each other's weaknesses and personalities, understanding how to interact in a way that made the other feel most comfortable.
