Sienna Thornton was showing Jane Jefferson around when her phone suddenly rang. She picked it up, saw that it was Old Master Forrester, made a pause gesture to Jane, and walked to the balcony to answer—
"Mm-hmm, alright Grandpa, I'll be back soon. If you're hungry, go ahead and eat first."
"Has Simon gone over?"
"No need to have him pick me up, I drove myself."
"Okay, see you later."
In just a few short sentences, Sienna Thornton's extraordinary status in Old Master Forrester's heart was evident.
Jane Jefferson stood by the sliding door to the balcony, listening to Sienna Thornton's phone call, a vague smile forming at her lips. Her fingers instinctively pinched tightly, causing the edge of a stack of documents to curl upward.
"Lawyer Jefferson," Sienna Thornton came back in and casually put her phone into her coat pocket, "if there are no issues, shall we go?"
"Sure."
