Simon Forrester hesitated for a moment before responding. As he put away his phone, his brain rapidly processed the best wording to convey to Sienna Thornton.
He swallowed and carefully said, "The first round of screening wasn't ideal, I suspect the age might be off, so I asked them to screen again."
Sienna Thornton nodded, holding his arm, and whispered softly, "If the second round doesn't work, then let it go and think of other ways."
In fact, she had looked into it under similar conditions three years ago, but also found no clues, so she wasn't particularly surprised by Simon's words.
Over the years, in her search for her father, she had long shifted from her initial blind confidence and filled with hope to now daring to hold only a slight possibility. So much so that she often cruelly hinted to herself that she might never find him. Yet, the small hope in her heart was so real.
"Has Auntie returned from Wrayhaven?" Simon suddenly asked.
