Even though Sienna Thornton was drunk, she could still walk. Her face was flushed beyond belief, and she kept laughing, always wanting to touch Simon Forrester.
Perhaps the alcohol warmed her up, because while waiting for the car in the near-zero outdoor temperature, she didn't complain about the cold. Instead, she kept saying she was hot and wanted to take off her coat.
Fortunately, Simon Forrester held her tightly, waiting in the cold for a while until they finally hailed a taxi.
Once in the car, after communicating the destination with the driver, Simon Forrester pulled her into his arms, adjusted himself into a comfortable position, and leaned back with her.
Watching the Montparnasse Tower disappear into the distance behind them, he laughed and said, "I originally wanted to take you to the Champagne Bar after dinner, but look at you, you got yourself drunk and couldn't go back."
