As if trying to vent all the grievances from the past 48 hours, Sienna Thornton clung to Simon Forrester, crying incessantly, smearing his dark coat with tears and snot, making it glisten.
She sobbed and hiccupped, hardly able to form coherent words: "I want... to go home..."
Simon Forrester's eyes were red, as he took the coat Sienna had left in his office from Rhonda Wagner and draped it over Sienna, wrapping an arm around her as they walked out: "Let's go, we're going home!"
By the gate, there were three parked cars: a black S90, a white Range Rover, and a black Audi sedan.
Sienna's entire face was still swollen from crying, and she was so weak she seemed like she could be blown over by the wind. Simon supported her as they walked straight to the S90.
