"Did you get into trouble?"
Though he was questioning her, there wasn't the slightest trace of anger in his low voice.
Because for him, her causing a ruckus outside and him cleaning up after her had already become a habit.
The fact that she could still call him without a hitch meant that the trouble she got into wasn't that serious.
"Hehe, not really... just a little fuss, nothing serious." Summer Shawcross chuckled awkwardly.
As Summer's voice fell, a wave of pain shot through her left shoulder as the doctor stitched up the wound.
Noah Drexler's Adam's apple tightened, and a bit of distress crept onto his handsome face.
"Alright." He paused for a few seconds before opening his lips and responding softly.
"Oh, and... you have to promise not to ground me this time." Summer was evidently delighted to see how readily he agreed.
The pain from the stitches wet Noah's handsome face with sweat.
He took a deep breath before responding again.
"Okay."
