"That energy," Raze thought. He immediately looked to his side and saw Gavin staring right at Roger with eyes that burned with rage. It was a subtle rage, but it was slowly growing.
Roger gripped his sword, and the ground cracked from the force alone. He kicked the ground, leaving a small crater as he pushed forward. Gavin pulled out his sword and was about to counter the attack, but Raze dove, tackling Gavin out of the way, barely escaping the blade by just an inch.
"Look, I know you have a lot of beef with the demon beasts and everything connected to them, but snap out of it. That thing isn't something we can handle ourselves," Raze said, getting off Gavin.
Gavin slowly got up. He looked at Raze's back. 'I have never told anyone my hatred for demon beasts. How does he know? ' he thought. He had his speculations about Raze, the fact that Raze was unreadable already raised all the flags in his brain, but now, his suspicions rose even more.
