Seeing Ethan close his eyes and ignore him again, Liam Shaw couldn't help but tug at the corner of his mouth.
He glanced at the medicine bowl on the bedside table, considering whether to call his brother Ethan to get up and take the medicine after it cooled down, when his phone suddenly rang.
Liam Shaw glanced at the caller ID—it was his dad's call. He pressed the answer button, just about to say "Dad," when he heard his father's somewhat anxious voice on the other end: "Hurry, come back quickly. Your grandma seems to be not doing well."
"Grandma??" Liam Shaw froze for a moment, then quickly replied into the phone: "I'm coming back right now."
After hanging up, he looked again at the sleeping Ethan on the bed. He reached out and nudged Ethan's arm, saying loudly, "Brother Ethan, I need to go home first. There's an emergency at home. I've left the medicine on the bedside table for you. Remember to take it. I'm off!!"
