After Vivian York finished speaking, the restaurant suddenly fell into silence.
Even though Ethan Hayes wasn't sure if he had said something like that, he still couldn't help but feel like digging a hole to hide.
After the two of them quietly stared at each other for a few seconds, Vivian finally spoke up to rescue him: "Do you still want instant noodles? I'm still hungry, I'll cook two more packs."
"... Okay." Ethan nodded, his voice soft.
Vivian swiftly cleared the table of bowls and chopsticks, washed the pot used for cooking noodles, took out two new packs of instant noodles from the fridge, and turned to the kitchen.
Ethan sat by the dining table, watching Vivian's busy figure in the kitchen, recalling the scene from earlier.
For a moment, he almost thought Vivian was going to kiss him, but she was just trying to grab a noodle.
For some reason, he felt a slight sense of disappointment in his heart.
Was he subconsciously expecting her to kiss him?
