Natalie Vaughn couldn't help but feel happy at the thought of Zane Thorne accompanying her to class in a couple of days.
"Actually, today could become an anniversary too."
Zane didn't understand.
Natalie got up and sat down on Zane's lap.
"Give me your hand."
Zane handed his hand to Natalie.
Natalie slowly removed the ring from his ring finger, and then slipped on something cold.
Zane's eyebrows moved slightly. He looked down at the diamond ring on his finger and reached out to grab Natalie's wrist.
"When did you prepare this?"
In Zane's tense voice, Natalie could hear some emotion.
"The previous ring was too understated. Many people still didn't believe I was married. I'm there to study well. I don't want others bothering me."
Zane hadn't thought this would be an issue. He pressed his lips together.
"Why didn't you mention it to me?"
Natalie looked at him with amusement.
"Why should I tell you? Isn't it the same whether I buy it or you buy it?"
"It's not the same."
