Synopsis
Fifteen years ago, the world was protected by Mages—keepers of balance, wielders of extraordinary power. But everything changed on the night of a new moon. In a forbidden experiment, scientists fused Mages with a deadly species known as the Hættulegir, creating something never meant to exist. From that union came a single child—Anak Sane Kalarang—a boy who unknowingly absorbed the abilities of his unborn siblings, becoming a vessel of unmatched power. Raised and trained by those who feared him, Anak grew stronger… and more dangerous. By the age of fourteen, he had annihilated the Hættulegir. Soon after, the Mages followed. But before their extinction, a goddess named Jessica foresaw the end. Defying the Celestial Realm, she fled to Earth with the strongest Mage, Daniel, to protect what little hope remained—their child. That hope was stolen. Now hidden from the world, their son is raised in secrecy by a loyal servant of the gods, his power masked from the one being who could destroy him. As Anak searches for the force he cannot understand, the child trains in silence—destined to one day face the monster born from the same origin. In a world where magic has fallen and gods have turned their backs, one question remains: Can the last light rise… before the darkness finds him?

Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: 15 Years Later

And on his fifteenth birthday, his powers will awaken, letting the young hero know his time to save the world has come. Okay now class, I would like you to write a short story detailing how the young hero saves the world." says my teacher, Mr. Morales. Hey, my name is Adrian. I'm fourteen years old. Wait. No, sorry, I'm fifteen years old. Today is my birthday. It's a good thing I'm not the young hero in the story because I could never have the courage to save the world. I barely have the courage to clean my room. I don't even have the courage-

"Hello! Earth to Adrian!" Mr. Morales says, "Are you even listening to me?" I nod, "If you were, then what was the question I just asked you?" I just sit there, looking around. I look at the board, and see stuff written on it.

"WHO DO YOU THINK ARE THE VILLIANS IN SOCIETY?"

I think for a second, then ask it. "Who do you think are the villains in society?" Mr. Morales stares at me. And stares. And stares. The whole class went quiet. I get uncomfortable. "Was that not the question?" As soon as I speak, the whole class jumps. And everyone starts talking at once.

"Did you see that?"

"Woah, that was cool!"

"How did he do that?"

"Okay everyone. Settle down. Adrian, two things. One, where did you get that question from? And two, what happened to your eyes just a moment ago?" Now it's my turn to stare at him.

"I got the question from the board. And what do you mean what happened to my eyes?" Everyone looks at the board. And the board is empty.

"Adrian, when is your birthday?" Mr. Morales asks.

"Today. Why?" I ask.

"And you're fifteen today, correct?" I nod, "Adrian, you are the young hero. And you just saw the future." The whole class goes quiet yet again, which is a new record.

"How am I the young hero?" I ask. I don't hear the answer because i black out.

"Adrian… Adrian…" calls a voice I've never heard before. I open my eyes a little, "Adrian, get up. I don't have a lot of time to explain." That wakes me up completely. "Oh good, you're awake." I open my mouth to say something, but he cuts me off. "No you are not dead. Since it's the first time you used your abilities since you were a kid, you just passed out. Crap, I'm out of time to explain everything to you."

"Explain what to me?" I ask.

"The truth. About what really happened. Something Luz was supposed to do." He starts to fade, "You're waking up kid." I almost didn't hear what he said next. "And Adrian, I'm proud to be called your father. Look at the gentleman you have become. I'm proud of you." He fades completely.

I woke up to a bright light, and people crowded around me. Even though there are a lot of people, only one notices that I'm awake. My Auntie Luz walks over to the side of my bed.

"What abilities did you use? And what did you see just now?" she asks.

"Mr. Morales said I saw the future. And how did you know that I saw something?"

"How did you see the future?"

"Mr. Morales asked me what the question he asked me was, because I zoned out, so I looked around, saw the question on the board, and I asked it. And everyone asked me what happened to my eyes." As soon as I say that, she closes her eyes, and goes pale. "What's wrong Auntie Luz? You look like you just saw a ghost."

"Adrian," she pauses, "I need to get you home before I can tell you anything. And for how I know you saw something, well I kinda had a feeling that it would happen. But before we say anything else, we really need to get home before something bad happens." Auntie Luz starts grabbing my stuff, "Get up, and let's go Adrian."
