The Su Mu now is not the same Su Mu who first encountered the flood.
Back when he first faced a flood, Su Mu's affinity with the river was less than ten percent.
He still remembers that first time, it was truly a dire situation, fortunately, he found a large reservoir to divert the floodwaters, or else that flood would have engulfed the river, turning his river-guarding duty into a joke.
But now, although this current flood is twice as large as before, his strength has increased significantly, and his river affinity has reached forty percent.

In order to maintain the stability of the river, Su Mu must find a way to divert the surplus floodwaters properly; only then can he be considered to have completed his task and earned Favor Points.
