On his way home from the lab, Mo Jingchun's heart was not as calm as it appeared on the surface.
Humans fear things that are unknown and uncontrollable.
Though Mo Jingchun kept thinking that as long as no one actively sends high-energy level electromagnetic waves in response to the Merc Civilization in the direction of Jupiter, human civilization could still follow its normal path and evolve.
Even with the potential threat of alien civilization, technology develops rapidly. Previously, there was no evidence of alien existence, so naturally, it seemed inconsequential, but starting today, everything is becoming past tense, like the sword of Damocles hanging overhead—it could make human civilization disappear into the flow of history at any moment, leaving nothing behind.
The fear is of some idiot. Especially those wild scientists and idle tycoons abroad, if they join forces, there's no telling what big surprise they might bring to humanity.
