After Timmy returned from the old house, he didn't say a word to Jared Quinn. He would never easily forget how Jared had tricked him.
"Eat," Jared glanced coolly at his son, who looked aggrieved. "Are you not willing to see Melody Thorne anymore?"
"Hmph," Timmy snorted, clearly dissatisfied. "I want to see Melody. I'll eat when she returns!"
"Hmm?" Jared squinted his eyes.
"Young master, shall I call the young madam? It's already this late, she should have been back by now," the butler suggested, wondering if Melody Thorne was still upset and planning not to return.
Jared's gaze swept over little Timmy, and he gave a slight nod.
The butler immediately picked up the phone and called Melody Thorne, but the phone just kept ringing with no one answering.
He dialed again, still no response, and then the phone was turned off.
