Jared Quinn's emotionless voice came from above her, "Mrs. Thorne, you must be tired, right? I've already arranged a place for you to stay; you can rest anytime."

Jared Quinn shielded Melody Thorne, covering her ears, sparing her from hearing any irritating noises.
"I never acknowledged you as a Thorne!" Finn Thorne's anger hung in the air, but he couldn't make a scene. If Mrs. Thorne had any memory, even if Melody Thorne wasn't her biological daughter, she wouldn't treat her so poorly.
Nor would she publicly reveal Melody's background to embarrass her.
