Jared Quinn turned his head to glance at her, carefully moving her head into his embrace with his large hand, while the other hand supported it, making her sleep even more stable and comfortable. Even though he knew she was pretending to sleep, he still went through the motions.
The couple up front seemed deeply in love, leaving no room for anyone else to intervene.
"Mr. Quinn and Miss Thorne seem to have a very good relationship," Mrs. Thorne spoke.
"Mom," Rochelle Thorne quickly tugged at Mrs. Thorne's sleeve, raising her voice a notch, "She's not the Thorne family's eldest daughter, I am. Her marriage should rightfully be mine. She used the Thorne family's identity to take my place. Now that I've returned, we need to clear things up. She can leave; I'm staying here."
She spoke so brazenly that the servants in the hall had already changed expressions, unaware of this secret.
"Rochelle," Mrs. Thorne tried to stop her, but it was too late.
