Although Howard Seymour stayed in the hospital room, his keen eyes noticed something. The young nurse who brought him meals today talked about how loving Melody Thorne and Hans Montrose were. When he heard what they did, he knew for sure that these two weren't a couple.
"Dad, no, what could I possibly hide from you? Please go back and rest," Melody Thorne walked over. "I'll take you back to the room."
"Melody," Howard Seymour's expression darkened, "Tell me, did Hans Montrose force you into something?"
He saw it clearly. In the morning, when he asked about their relationship, Melody Thorne didn't answer at all; only Hans Montrose replied on her behalf.
"Is he using me to threaten you? Melody, you must leave here, pretend you've never seen your father. I can't drag my own daughter down."
