The discharge slammed into the golem's raised arm, exploding across it.
Cracks spread instantly, spiderwebbing through the stone as fragments blew away from the point of the blast's impact. For a split second, Leo thought the golem's whole limb might fall apart.
Then the earth trembled.

Loose rocks and clumps of hardened soil rose and swirled upward like a miniature landslide reversing itself.
