Chapter 223: Cool Down
Leon rushed forward without a moment's hesitation.
He pulled Miho tightly against his chest and thrust his free hand forward. A translucent orange aura shield flared into existence just as a ring-shaped sonic shockwave slammed into it. The impact sent ripples racing across the barrier, accompanied by a sharp metallic hum.
The attacker froze for a fraction of a second, clearly stunned that Leon had reacted so quickly.
Then, realizing he was no match for him, panic flickered across his face, and he hastily summoned his beast—a massive bat, nearly four meters tall. Grabbing onto one of its legs, he began lifting into the air, shouting curses over his shoulder as the wind whipped around his body.
But Leon wasn't about to let him escape.
He dismissed the aura shield and raised the same hand toward the fleeing beast—
