Chapter 238: Humbling
The instant Shub's hands closed in, Lily snapped into motion.
Her left hand shot forward and caught his wrist mid-air, just before his palm could touch her chest.
"Bastard!" Lily hissed through clenched teeth.
She knew exactly where that hand had been going.
Before Shub could even process what had happened, Lily twisted his arm inward, forcing his elbow joint far below its natural direction.
His eyes widened in shock—
—and then, Lily's right fist came crashing down like a hammer.
Crack!
A sharp, sickening snap echoed in the air as the joint shattered, bending his arm at a grotesque ninety-degree angle.
"ARHHHHH!"
Shub let out an agonized scream.
He had never expected the girl he considered weak would react so quickly—let alone in such a vicious, decisive manner.
But Lily wasn't done.
Her fist slammed straight into his face.
