The Rhinoceros beast locked both its arms together, crossing them in front of its body, bracing to block Leon's incoming stinger attack.
But the instant the attack connected—
Shhhhiiinnnggg! Wing! Thuk!
An ear-piercing metallic shriek tore through the air, echoing across the battlefield as it was cut through the air.
The stinger tore clean through the beast's metallic forearms without slowing down in the slightest, then drove itself deep into its chest.
"GRrrrrr!"
The beast let out a guttural groan, its massive frame shuddering as pain rippled through it.
Leon was already gathering power to launch another stinger when Leo suddenly raised his hand.
"Stop," he said firmly. "If the beast disappears, the attack will continue forward and hit those 2. And then they'll disappear too."
He pointed toward Karen and Vorin.
