Chapter 510: Drake
The Salamander Water Lake was a particularly safe place within the Realm's inner region. Not only did it have cooler water that supported more aquatic lifeforms like fish, but it was also large enough to support an almost 20,000-strong Lizardman population.
A similar lake was controlled by the strongest chief on the other side of the realm, so, in other words, capturing it would pave the way to becoming the strongest Lizardman tribe. And due to the abundance of water, there was naturally more vegetation around the area, guaranteeing more food.
But there was one problem: an island in the middle of the lake. And capturing the island was the most important part because that's the only place not attacked by the periodic large-sized salamanders that came into the area. The creatures avoided crossing the cool water, which could suppress the heat within their bodies and shut them down.
