Chapter 46 - You Have Twin Martial Spirits Too?

"Hello."

Gu Xun remained aloof, radiating the aura of a cold, arrogant god. Lan Mengqin eyed him suspiciously, then glanced at Dong Qianqiu.

"Could this be your little sweetheart?"

Dong Qianqiu's face flushed instantly, and she immediately retorted.

"Of course not!"

"Why so flustered? I was just joking. My name is Lan Mengqin. From your introduction earlier, you said you're level 25?"

Lan Mengqin grew curious about Gu Xun's situation. He nodded in response, prompting her to ask her burning question.

"How old are you?"

"Seven."

"Huh? You're a year younger than me? And you're already level 25?"

Lan Mengqin looked stunned. She hadn't expected Gu Xun, younger than her, to be higher in level.

"Well... it's just thanks to my family's backing. Nothing special."

Gu Xun waved it off as nothing remarkable. Lan Mengqin instantly felt speechless, suddenly finding Gu Xun incredibly pretentious and full of himself.

"Qianqiu, his voice is so piercing..."

Lan Mengqin found Gu Xun's tone unbearably sharp. He was a year younger than her, yet his level surpassed hers by one rank. How could that be fair?

"Um... Mengqin, Gu Xun isn't like that..."

Gu Xun couldn't see anything wrong with his statement. He had the backing of the entire Spirit Beast Clan and was a first-generation wealthy heir—what was the issue?

"Gu Xun, let's... eat first..."

Dong Qianqiu, sensing the awkward silence, quickly changed the subject. Lan Mengqin glanced at Gu Xun as she did so.

"Qianqiu, let's go. Ignore this arrogant jerk."

Lan Mengqin tugged Dong Qianqiu toward the exit, leaving Dong Qianqiu caught in the middle, utterly flustered.

Flustered? Well, if you're flustered, then don't do it!

Gu Xun stood up too. To prevent his little one from being corrupted by Lan Mengqin, he had no choice but to follow.

Lan Mengqin linked arms with Dong Qianqiu, acting like best friends. Gu Xun watched, speechless.

You just met for the first time? How come you're already arm-in-arm? The three of them then headed to the cafeteria.

Gu Xun found a seat and sat down, then began tracing patterns in the air with his fingers, as if sketching a menu.

"What do you want to eat?"

Gu Xun looked across at Dong Qianqiu and asked. After a moment's thought, Dong Qianqiu replied:

"Sweet and sour pork."

"Hmm..."

Gu Xun nodded, then waved his hand. A plate of sweet and sour pork appeared instantly, and Dong Qianqiu immediately began digging in.

"Gu Xun, your food-type soul skill can conjure anything, huh?"

Dong Qianqiu felt that since following Gu Xun, meals were no longer a worry.

She also attributed Gu Xun's ability to summon food with a wave of his hand to his food-type spirit skill.

After all, Gu Xun already possessed a spirit skill that could create golden apples, so conjuring a dish wasn't surprising.

"Hmm, let me pick a few more."

Gu Xun spoke as he waved his finger through the air again. From Dong Qianqiu's perspective, it looked like he was gesturing at nothing.

But to Gu Xun, he was simply browsing his inventory—specifically, the gourmet mod's inventory.

While Lan Mengqin was still waiting in line for her meal, Dong Qianqiu and Gu Xun had already prepared three dishes and a soup.

"Hey Gu Xun, is your second martial spirit actually a kitchen? How else could you conjure up so many delicious dishes?"

Frozen Qianqiu eyed the lavish lunch spread, growing curious about Gu Xun's second martial spirit. Gu Xun paused upon hearing the question before replying.

"If you say so, then I suppose it is."

"If you don't want to talk about it, fine."

Dong Qianqiu didn't press further, instead digging in with relish. The food Gu Xun served wasn't just delicious—it also accelerated cultivation.

Meanwhile, Lan Mengqin, who'd been queuing for the basic meal at the academy cafeteria, returned to find Gu Xun and Dong Qianqiu's table piled high with delicacies. She froze instantly.

"You two snuck food behind my back! How uncool is that?!"

Lan Mengqin sat beside Dong Qianqiu, glaring at the pair who'd snuck food behind her back.

"You never said you wanted some."

Gu Xun shrugged, then picked up another slice of meat. Lan Mengqin choked on her words, glancing at the lavish spread of fragrant dishes before her.

She looked back at the academy's Class A meal and suddenly lost all appetite.

The academy cafeteria offered Class A, B, and C meals. Class A was the finest and most expensive, followed by Class B, then Class C.

Elite-class students could eat Class A meals for free, which explained the long queue.

"Where did you guys get all this food? Did you bring it yourselves? Won't it go bad?"

Gu Xun paused upon hearing Lan Mengqin's question, then pointed to an empty spot on the table. Instantly, a plate of steaming Mora meat appeared.

It looked freshly made. Startled, Lan Mengqin stood up to examine the Mora meat. Its aroma was irresistible, and the surrounding dishes made her mouth water.

Lan Mengqin circled around to Gu Xun's side, grabbing his right hand to inspect it closely.

"What are you doing?"

"You don't have a storage spirit device? How did you conjure up this feast out of thin air?"

After confirming Gu Xun's hand was empty, Lan Mengqin's eyes filled with confusion. Gu Xun silently withdrew his hand.

"Sis Mengqin, it's a food-type spirit skill."

Dong Qianqiu interjected from the side. Lan Mengqin snapped to attention, her expression shifting to one of sudden realization. She then looked at Gu Xun in astonishment and asked.

"You have a twin martial spirits too?"
