Theodora was headed to the Northern Dormitory to pick up her things and head back to her new room. She couldn't help her recall Zeke's reaction to her pendant, and how he hadn't said a word again and had walked out of the room.
She could feel the heaviness of the pendant around her neck and thought of what it could mean to him. And since he and Eric were brothers, what does this necklace mean to Cain, too? Eric didn't have that reaction when he first saw the pendant.
Arriving in front of Eric's room, Theo didn't bother knocking and pushed the door open. The sight that met her had her pausing for a second.
Finn and another guy with a low cut were sitting on the bed, a little too close to each other. From the angles of their body, it looked as if they were about to kiss before she walked in on them.
And the moment she did, they both flinched away.
Theo narrowed her eyes at them slightly. Did Eric know about this?
She took her eyes off them and walked to where her things were waiting. Then, she dragged them along with her to leave.
"Leaving so soon?" Finn's sly tone came.
She didn't even pause and opened the door to leave.
She heard him chuckle behind them, "Eric told everything. Said your roommate wasn't so... welcoming," He drew out the last word, and she could hear the laughter in it, "I wonder why. You seem like such a pleasant presence,"
She wanted to ignore him and leave, but the incident she had walked in on was bugging her. Hence, she turned around and faced them. The buzz cut guy was sitting at the edge of the bed while Finn was lying on Eric's bed, legs stretched and crossed.
"Let me guess...," She arched a brow, "He's Jeremy, right?"
"What?" She caught the slight flicker of panic in his eyes. That was all she needed.
"Exactly," She drawled smoothly, "You're not the only one Eric tells stuff to,"
Finn smiled, the kind that didn't reach his eyes, "I wasn't judging you, it's just that I think you've been enjoying Eric's kindness a little too much. People might... misunderstand,"
Did he know something?
"People should mind their own business," She replied.
He tilted his head, "But it's a good thing you're going. It keeps things less complicated,"
Theodora almost rolled her eyes, but she didn't. It was more ladylike than Alpha-like. Instead, she held his gaze, "You sound Jealous, Finn. That doesn't look good on you," Her gaze slid over to the other boy, "Especially with Jeremy here,"
She saw the perfectly annoying smile on Finn's face twitch a bit, like he was holding back from doing something to hurt her. But then again, even if he did, she would be the one to kick his ass.
"Since the cat's got your tongue now, I guess I'll be leaving," Her lips curved into a smirk, then she turned around and left.
In an hour, she was done arranging the side of her room. Unlike how the beds were arranged initially, this time she pushed her bed to the other end of the room. There was a small deal and table at the other end, and she arranged her things in the small closet by the edge.
She glanced at Zeke's side of the room. His things were everywhere. A typical boy's room, and it had her thinking that she should also make a mess of her own side.
"No, not all guys are messy," She muttered under her breath.
.
.
.
Theodora woke up with a sharp thud to the back of her head.
"Ow! What the hell?!" She furiously jumped out of the bed to see a small metal object right next to her pillow.
Her blurry gaze cleared as searing pain passed through her head from the collision. Who would do such a thing?
Looking up, she saw him standing there.
Zeke.
He had freshly showered, and steam still clung to his tattooed skin. Her eyes remained on his face, but her vision was focused on his chest.
My, oh my.
She's lived with men almost all her life. Naked or shirtless wolves were rampant everywhere back in the Blood Moon Vanguard Pack, and the sights never moved her.
But this...
She swallowed.
His dark eyes pierced into hers, and she wondered if they were about to have another fight about why she was in this room.
"Did you throw that at me?" She picked up the metal and dangled it in front of them, "Of course you did. Why am I even asking?" She muttered the last part under her breath.
Just then, she glanced at the window and saw that it was already dark outside. Huh? When did she fall asleep? How long has she been asleep?
She looked at Zeke again. She should have woken up by the sound of him walking into the room, or even the sound of the running shower! Had she been that deeply asleep, or was he just that good when it came to stealth?
"What do you want?" She grumpled.
He frowned, "I can hear you breathing. Do not breathe while I'm here,"
"Can you even hear yourself?!"
"That's rule number one," He continued.
"That's a rule that can never be implemented," She groaned.
"Rule number two," He continued casually like he didn't hear her, although his hands kept twitching by his sides, "Don't touch my things, don't even look at them, ever, and don't ever be in the bathroom when I want to be in the bathroom,"
She let out an exhilarating sigh and rubbed her temple, "Are you gonna make me a bathroom schedule?"
He ignored it again, "Rule number three: Whatever happens in this room, stays in this room. Break any of these rules and I'll make sure you can't walk straight for the rest of your time here at Gravemont,"
Theodora chuckled, shaking her head at the arrogant, but sexy bad bad across her, "The moment you touch me, I'll make sure your arms disappear,"
His fingers twitched again, "This isn't your safe space, Hellcat! This is my den, and here, you follow my rules,"
She laughed again, "Unfortunately, you're not the only Alpha in this den,"
He crossed his arms, "Oh really?" His eyes flickered with something dangerous.
"You wanna bet?"
"Oh, I don't need to bet anything," Zeke said, and a side of his lips curved, "But if you don't do as I say, I'll just have to let Eric know that his little lackey...has a huge crush on him,"
