Athena blinked awake slowly, the morning light spilling gently across the sheets. For a moment she didn't move, she was wrapped in warmth, and comfort of Theodore's scent.
She shifted softly on the bed, that's when she realised Theodore wasn't in the bed.
He had been pressed against her all night. And now he left?
A strange little tug pulled at her chest.
Confusion? Annoyance? Or Disappointment?
She didn't want to care. But she did.
She got up from the bed,, her sleeping shorts brushing high on her thighs, and padded toward the walk-in closet, expecting to see him searching for something.
But it's mpty.
Her brows lowered a fraction.
She turned and peeped into the bathroom.
Still nothing.
Why was she even searching for him?
Why did it matter?
She didn't have the answer, but her feet kept moving on their own.
