After leaving the crowded exhibition area for a while, Gojo Satoru and Marin Kitagawa finally arrived at a relatively quiet corner of the square.
The place was slightly hidden behind a decorative garden wall near the exhibition plaza.
Only a few scattered passers-by walked along the path occasionally.
Compared to the noisy comic exhibition area earlier, this place felt much calmer.
Gojo looked around thoughtfully, "…Perfect. This spot will do."
He then reluctantly pulled his arm back from the comfortable heaven as he adjusted the camera hanging around his neck and stepped back a few meters away from Marin.
Marin stood in the open space in front of him with a puzzle look. The gothic Lolita dress moved gently with the breeze. Her violet wig and purple contact lenses made her look like she had truly stepped out of the game world.
{ T/N: well, she is a character from the in-universe adult visual novel game, Slippery Girls 2 (Saint ♡ Slippery's Academy for Girls). }
Gojo lifted the camera as he slightly bent his knees, adjusting the angle. As he began in his usual tone, "Alright, Marin. Let's start."
Marin straightened her posture immediately, she looked excited but also a little nervous.
Gojo began, as he gave some instructions calmly.
"Make an innocent expression."
"Yes, like that."
"Relax your shoulders."
"Good."
"Now look directly at the camera."
Marin followed every instruction very carefully. She recalled Kuroe Shizuku's personality from memory.
A shy, innocent character. Pure and delicate.
Marin's eyes softened slightly as she get into the character, Her lips curl up to formed a faint gentle smile, her hands pressing in front of her.
{TN: Shizuku Kuroe is characterized by a quiet, elegant, and stoic persona, embodying a "composed" yet "alluring" charm. Shizuku is known for her mature, cold, and still demeanor, often representing a, shy and traditional, yet innocent, persona. }
Gojo nodded in approval. "Perfect."
Click!
The crisp sound of the camera shutter echoed in the quiet corner.
Gojo lowered the camera and quickly reviewed the image on the screen.
His expression showed clear satisfaction at his work.
Meanwhile—
Marin called out from a few steps away.
"Gojo-kun! How is it?!" She bounced slightly on her legs with anticipation, clearly enjoying it.
Gojo raised his thumb with admiration. "Excellent! This one is great!"
Marin's face lit up brightly.
"Really?!"
Gojo raised the camera again.
"Alright, next pose. Turn your body sideways!"
Marin immediately adjusted her stance.
"Now…Turn your head slightly toward the scenery."
Gojo pointed toward the skyline.
In the distance, Tokyo Tower stood tall against the blue morning sky.
"Look at the tower."
"Good."
"Now…"
"Turn back slowly, like you just noticed someone watching you."
Marin lifted her chin slightly.
Her eyes looked toward Tokyo Tower for a moment.
Then—
As if sensing someone behind her—
She gently glanced back.
Gojo pressed the shutter instantly at that exact time.
Click!
Another perfect photo.
"Nice." Gojo nodded, as he praise her without hesitation, "You're really good at this."
Marin giggled proudly. "Of course! I studied about this stiff a lot!"
Gojo nodded as he adjusted the camera again.
"Alright. Next one—" He paused for a moment before speaking, "This time…Give the camera a slightly teasing expression."
Marin tilted her head, with a perplexed look, "Teasing?"
She poked her chin with her finger.
"Hmm…"
She tried recalling certain scenes from the anime she had watched.
After thinking for a moment—
She slowly grabbed both sides of her skirt.
Then she lifted the edge slightly.
The movement revealed the suspenders and black stockings beneath the dress!
At the same time—
She looked toward the camera with a playful, slightly mischievous expression. Her eyes sparkled with teasing charm.
Gojo reacted instantly.
Click!
Another photo captured.
He lowered the camera again, as he looked at the photo for a bit longer then necessary.
"…Perfect."
Marin laughed happily, teasingly. "Gojo-kun, you're enjoying this too much."
Gojo shrugged, nonchalant, "A good model deserves good photos."
He quickly re-checked the photos again.
Every pose had been perfect.
No retakes needed.
Of course—A large part of the reason was simple to anyone.
Just then—
WHOOSH~~~!
A sudden gust of wind blew across the square, Marin's skirt was lifted nicely by the wind.
"…?!!"
Her eyes widened in shocked.
Gojo raised an eyebrow at the wonderful scene infront of him.
"…Oh?"
Now he understood why she had kicked him out of the room earlier when she changed clothes.
Marin froze for a second. Then she quickly grabbed her skirt with both hands. Her face turned bright red.
"Kyaa!!"
Her violet eyes first land on Gojo who was focusing on the camera, before she darted around nervously.
Thankfully—there was no one else nearby.
"…Good." She sighed with relief.
That was close. If someone saw that, I'd die from embarrassment.
After calming down— Marin walked toward Gojo with her hands behind her back. She leaned slightly forward with a cute smile, trying to make it so that the earlier incident had never happened.
"So…How were the photos this time, Gojo-kun?" She asked, forcing herself to not think about it, or asked if Gojo had seen it or not.
Gojo handed her the camera, with a calm expression, "See for yourself."
Marin stare at him for sometime before she leaned beside him.
They both scrolled through the photos together.
The pictures looked amazing.
The Background. The poses. And the expressions.
Everything captured the character perfectly.
They spent several minutes admiring the photos.
When—
A voice suddenly came from behind them.
"Excuse me!"
Both of them turned around instantly.
A short, overweight man wearing glasses stood a few meters away. He held a camera in his hands. His face looked extremely excited.
"Um…Can I take some photos too?" He looked directly at Marin, ignoring Gojo as he excitingly said, "Miss Shizuku!"
His tone grew even more excited as he stepped closer.
"You look incredible! Can I take a few pictures?"
Gojo frowned slightly, he was about to refuse.
But Marin spoke first, as she smiled politely and began, "I'm sorry. My boyfriend is already taking photos for me."
The man froze for a moment.
"…Boyfriend?"
Then he quickly tried again.
"But I'm a professional photographer! I've been taking cosplay photos for eight years! You can trust me—"
He raised his camera proudly.
But suddenly—
"..!!"
His body stiffened as an invisible pressure suddenly descended on him. It felt like an enormous weight pressing against his shoulders.
His entire body trembled as sweat formed on his forehead.
The pressure lasted only ten seconds.
After which he quickly stepped back nervously.
"…Never mind.…Sorry to bother you."
Without another word—He hurriedly run away.
What he didn't realize—Was that the costly camera in his hands had already been quietly destroyed by pressure.
Internally, the device was completely useless now.
After the man left—
Marin wrapped her arms around Gojo's arm playfully as she smiled mischievously, she didn't feel anything strange from the way the man just run away.
"By the way…I just told him you're my boyfriend. You're not angry, right?"
"I'm the man you'll never get." Gojo said in a comedic manner.
Marin's eyes sparkled with playfulness, "Oh? Is that so?"
She stepped closer, closer then before, "Then today I'm definitely going to get you~"
As she continue to pressure him with her "weapon".
"Try it." Gojo said in his usual playful tone as he once again enjoy the feeling, "I'm not afraid of you."
The two of them began teasing each other like children.
Their laughter echoed softly in the quiet corner.
.....
After finishing several more photos—
They finally returned to the main exhibition area.
Many passer-by recognized Marin's cosplay and several people tried asking for photos. But Gojo and Marin politely declined, saying that they were just strolling around and didn't want to take a photo. The peoples were disappointed but since she said so they couldn't do anything but give up.
Gojo and Marin slowly walked through different sections of the convention.
Then—
Gojo suddenly stopped walking. "…Hmm?"
He looked toward a nearby cosplay section, to verify something.
Specifically—
The JOJO cosplay area!
A familiar figure stood there.
Long silver-white hair.
The outfit looked cool and stylish.
Gojo immediately recognized her.
"…Shiroha?"
He muttered quietly.
"Shiroha-san is here?" Marin looked surprised."Is she here too?!"
She looked around excitedly.
Soon—
She spotted the silver-haired girl's back.
"There!"
The two quietly approached from behind, quietly.
As they got closer—
They heard Shiroha muttering to herself.
"…These cosplays look terrible." Her voice sounded unimpressed. "I was curious about this event…But most of them are disappointing."
She sighed to herself. Then she brushed her long silver hair behind her shoulder.
"I should just go home."
She turned around—
THUMP!
And bumped directly into someone.
Shiroha rubbed her forehead in pain, her irritation instantly rose. As she directly cursed.
"Are you blind?! Walking around like that—"
Then she looked up.
"..!!"
Her eyes widened in shocked.
Standing in front of her—
Was Gojo Satoru, smiling casually.
"Gojo-sensei?!"
Her voice rose in shock.
