If you were to ask what is the most precious thing in the SEED world, or any Gundam world for that matter?
Depending on who you ask, you might get countless different answers. But if you were to ask what the foundation of the Gundam world is...
The very core of what makes the Gundam world what it is.
The answer isn't the giant, 20-meter-tall robots, but rather the Neutron Jammer, Minovsky Particles, Solar Furnaces, and so on.
Their common feature is that they interfere with all radar and communications.
This is the very thing that allows the Gundam worldview to exist!
CE Wang Hu, facing the Unmanned Aerial Vehicles and incoming missiles remotely commanded by MOSS.
While everyone else was fraught with worry.
He remained calm and unhurried. Before everyone's eyes, he once again opened the golden portal.
Then, the Zeta Gundam reached out its hand and pulled a cylindrical object, over ten meters tall and five or six meters wide, out of the portal.
"What is that?" Breaking Ball Wang Hu rubbed his eyes, watching CE Wang Hu perform a move reminiscent of the King of Heroes pulling a Noble Phantasm from his treasury.
"The Spear of Odin?"
At first, Breaking Ball Wang Hu's mind instinctively jumped to the secret weapon the Coordinators had used at the Panama Space Launch Site in that world.
The device that had instantly wiped out all the MS Daggers secretly deployed by the Atlantic Federation.
But then, Breaking Ball Wang Hu recalled the situation CE Wang Hu had explained during their exchange on the Homeworld, and that the device belonged to the Coordinators.
Logically, the East Asian Army shouldn't possess it, right?
"It's a Neutron Jammer," a member of the East Asian special forces team said kindly, noticing Breaking Ball Wang Hu's confusion.
At the same time, he took out a recording device, preparing to document the Neutron Jammer's first use in another world from a third-person perspective.
This was so that upon returning to their own world, they could submit the data to the academicians at the Academy of Sciences for analysis.
After all, the Neutron Jammer worked well in their own world, but whether it would be just as effective in other worlds was a topic worthy of study, as it touched upon whether the physical laws of different worlds were universal.
"A Neutron Jammer?" Hearing this, Breaking Ball Wang Hu's voice rose a few octaves.
That superweapon the Coordinators used to disable all nuclear energy throughout the SEED Earth Sphere?
"Wait!" Realizing that the Gabon base's energy hub also relied on nuclear power, Breaking Ball Wang Hu anxiously shouted at the East Asian special forces personnel beside him.
"Tell CE Wang Hu not to use that thing! We rely on nuclear power here too!"
He couldn't let the space station, which had been spared an accident caused by MOSS, fall victim to a problem created by their own side.
If CE Wang Hu's actions truly brought about an even greater disaster, Breaking Ball Wang Hu felt they could forget about any talk of mutual recognition between the two worlds.
They might as well just go home, wash up, and go to bed. Even a man as wise as Mr. Zhou couldn't openly defy the will of the people in public!
"What are you afraid of?" The man from the East Asian special forces team, having found an excellent viewing spot and set up his recording device, asked with a look of surprise.
"Our world uses chain reactions, which means bombarding atoms with neutrons. The Neutron Jammer specifically targets that."
"But your world uses heavy-nucleus fusion reactions, which are caused by the collision of light nuclei at extremely high temperatures."
"It doesn't require neutrons to trigger it, which is why you never hear about the concept of a chain reaction in fusion."
"Theoretically, the Neutron Jammer should have no effect on your nuclear reactions here."
"Is that so? Hahaha." After hearing the explanation, a skeptical Breaking Ball Wang Hu felt he had made a huge fool of himself.
He laughed awkwardly and scratched his head, temporarily setting aside his worries.
"Your world, our world?"
Having stealthily moved next to Breaking Ball Wang Hu, Liu Peiqiang pricked up his ears and heard their entire conversation clearly.
The more he heard, the more questions filled his mind.
But knowing full well that this was not the time for a deep interrogation, Liu Peiqiang's sharp gaze darted between Breaking Ball Wang Hu and the few people with extraordinary auras around him.
"Peiqiang!" Right beside him, the ever-supportive Han Duoduo also gave the tense Liu Peiqiang a little tug.
She signaled to him that once this was over, they would definitely not let Breaking Ball Wang Hu and his group get away.
They would certainly make them give a reasonable explanation.
Seeing this, Liu Peiqiang gently patted Han Duoduo's hand, then glanced at the other astronauts who had formed a perimeter around Breaking Ball Wang Hu and his companions.
Then, the group continued to look up at the sky.
Up there, the Zeta Gundam had basically finished setting up the Neutron Jammer!
"Well then, let's see how the Coordinators' masterpiece performs here, shall we?"
CE Wang Hu chuckled lightly in the Gundam's cockpit as the missiles were about to hit, as the drones continued their assault.
As some missiles had already begun to fly vertically up along the Orbital Elevator.
With a flourish, CE Wang Hu pressed the activation button for the Neutron Jammer.
With a hum, the mechanical components inside the Neutron Jammer began to operate.
There were no special lights or sounds, much less any earth-shattering special effects.
It was very ordinary. In fact, if one were to ignore the cold and menacing weapons of war in the sky, the whole scene was like a beach under a blue sky with white clouds.
So peaceful, so serene.
But just a moment later, a strange phenomenon began to occur as the Neutron Jammer unleashed its power in another world for the first time.
First, the dense swarm of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles in the sky began to fall like hailstones. Then, the missiles flying toward the Zeta Gundam and the space station...
They began to wobble, like a drunk driver who could no longer hold the steering wheel.
"What's happening?" In the Gabon base command tower, the military officers had already taken off their hats, preparing to mourn.
Suddenly seeing this turn of events, their faces went completely blank with shock.
It wasn't just these human officers. In the intangible world of the network, the mastermind who had orchestrated all this, this world's first digital life, MOSS, also experienced an emotional fluctuation.
Of course, a digital life composed purely of 1s and 0s strictly has no emotions.
But judging from the fluctuating data streams, we can tentatively interpret it that way.
The external manifestation, serving as the extension of MOSS's will in the physical world, was the red dots on the surveillance cameras scattered throughout the base, which flickered as their lenses continuously zoomed in and out.
This showed just how great an impact the Neutron Jammer produced by CE Wang Hu had.
"Hmm, the effect is pretty good." Seeing the commotion he had caused, CE Wang Hu nodded in satisfaction.
It seemed the radar guidance in this world was the same as the missile guidance in his own world.
It was completely countered by the Coordinators' Neutron Jammer. The radio-controlled Unmanned Aerial Vehicles were also dealt with smoothly.
With that, the crisis of the Breaking Ball World's space station falling was brought to a successful conclusion.
Raising the Beam Cannon in his hand, CE Wang Hu decided to see the good deed through to the end, shooting down the wobbling, "drunken" missiles one by one.
It also saved those few small planes the trouble of a difficult chase.
Afterward, he piloted the Zeta Gundam to face the setting sun quietly.
Bathed in the gentle light of the descending sun, CE Wang Hu landed in the plaza of the Gabon experimental base.
"The formal meeting is about to begin."
He murmured in the cockpit, watching the people of this world slowly emerge from their various hiding places.
"And MOSS."
CE Wang Hu opened the Gundam's external communication port.
"What is that?"
When the dust had settled, having just endured an unimaginably terrifying experience.
The people of the UEG's Gabon experimental base emerged from their shelters, looking at each other and whispering amongst themselves.
Gazing at the Zeta Gundam, its body reflecting a dazzling light in the setting sun, some of the more devoutly religious people subconsciously wanted to kowtow.
The Zeta Gundam was like a deity from myths and legends, saving the world from peril.
"It's over."
Feeling an immense sense of relief, Breaking Ball Wang Hu was about to lead the East Asian special forces team to rendezvous with CE Wang Hu.
"Wang Hu!" A sudden roar made Breaking Ball Wang Hu jump.
Immediately, he felt several hands press down heavily on his shoulders and body.
Thud, thud, thud. While Breaking Ball Wang Hu was being restrained by Liu Peiqiang and his men who had suddenly sprung into action.
The astronauts who went for the East Asian special forces personnel weren't so lucky. A few sounds of bodies hitting the ground rang out.
The restrained Breaking Ball Wang Hu glanced to the side and saw, to his astonishment, that the East Asian special forces members were fighting one against ten without being at a disadvantage.
"Stop, stop, stop fighting! Stop fighting! Someone's going to get killed!"
Seeing the group engaged in a heated brawl, Breaking Ball Wang Hu quickly shouted at the top of his lungs.
It was a good thing he did. Otherwise, Liu Peiqiang, who had rolled up his sleeves and was about to join the fray, might have taken a few punches himself.
After all, Liu Peiqiang wasn't Wolf Warrior. He could fight, but whether he could beat these elite soldiers, handpicked from the East Asian special forces, was an unknown.
"Who are they?" Liu Peiqiang turned his head and asked, his arm held firmly by Han Duoduo.
"For now, you don't have the clearance to know," said Breaking Ball Wang Hu, still held by several hands.
"You can't get involved in what happens next. Take my advice and wait for the base's high-level command to arrive."
"And even higher-level command after that. When it's time for you to know, you will."
"Hmm?" Hearing this, the surrounding astronauts all frowned, but being military men at heart, they didn't press further.
They simply surrounded Breaking Ball Wang Hu and his group, preventing them from leaving.
Meanwhile, on the other side, the leadership of the base descended from the command tower and hurried toward where the Zeta Gundam stood.
When they arrived at the foot of the Zeta Gundam, they looked up at the 20-meter-tall specialty from the SEED world.
The base commanders all gasped in amazement. "It's truly magnificent."
"But it doesn't conform to the principles of modern warfare. Bipedal war machines aren't even as practical as beast-shaped ones."
"What if this is what's popular with the aliens?"
After the initial awe came a round of critique. To be fair, a large, bipedal humanoid weapon indeed did not conform to modern military science.
The reason these people were so certain this robot belonged to aliens was that they were all high-ranking members of human factions.
Even if they weren't at the very top, if any faction were developing such a large humanoid weapon, they would have at least heard whispers, if not known completely.
Not to mention its earlier appearance—it had made a grand entrance in a flash of golden light.
Then, in front of everyone, it had pulled an inexplicable weapon out of the golden light with its bare hands.
It had ended the threat of all the Unmanned Aerial Vehicles and missiles in one fell swoop!
The use of golden light alone, a technology involving space, was absolutely impossible for any faction on Earth to achieve at present.
"All of you, be quiet," the leader of the group hissed softly at those behind him. With the giant weapon's allegiance still undetermined, it was too impolite for them, as representatives of humanity here, to say such things.
What if its pilot understood human language?
If they got angry because of these discussions, it could provoke an extremely serious diplomatic incident.
A cosmic-level diplomatic incident!
At that point, a good thing would turn into a bad thing, and wouldn't he be the one to take the fall?
"Hey Andrei, what do you think aliens look like?"
In the rear, Zhang Peng and Andrei had originally been chasing missiles, but the robot had taken care of them.
Delighted by this convenient turn of events, they had returned gleefully to watch the spectacle.
"I don't know." Shaking his head, Andrei's eyes were filled with anticipation.
"I never thought I'd live to see real aliens."
