"We have visitors."
Standing on the East Asian Army's assault position outside Kaguya Port, Wang Hu in his Lightning Z Gundam saw the guests he had been waiting for.
The defenses at the mass driver had been discovered by Orb forces, and a mutiny had broken out in Kaguya Port's control center.
It was only now that ZAFT finally couldn't sit still and jumped in to intervene.
In Wang Hu's view, the other side had shown considerable patience. Initially, the East Asian Army had believed that once their forces engaged with Orb's military and the Orb troops showed even the slightest sign of collapse, ZAFT Forces would come rushing out as if someone had kicked them in the rear, eagerly jumping in with their own supplies to selflessly assist the Orb military.
This would serve two purposes: first, to win over the still-combat-capable Orb forces, and second, to cause trouble for the East Asian Army. Additionally, it would create an opportunity for ZAFT Forces to personally ensure the destruction of Orb's mass driver when the situation became untenable!
"Can you handle this alone?"
Looking at the two new ZAFT mobile suits already within visual range, Li Chengzhi asked. There was no doubt these were the same elite Red Uniform nuclear-powered machines from the same production batch as the Freedom Gundam that had previously appeared at their East Asian port!
The defense forces at the East Asian port particularly remembered these two units and had given them extremely high evaluations. Objectively speaking, if not for these two machines among the ZAFT forces attacking the East Asian port, the Coordinator rabble that attacked would have been completely crushed and devoured by the spaceport's defenders long ago.
"Who do you think I am?"
Facing his friend's concerned question, Wang Hu chuckled before the other could say more. The Lightning Z Gundam's legs erupted with surging power, performing a miraculous standing vertical leap through sheer force. Wang Hu rose straight to an altitude sufficient for transformation and instantly switched to MA Mode, charging toward the two unwelcome newcomers.
"Hurry up and capture Kaguya Port. We have all the materials we need now, no need to keep playing games with Orb's children." The departing Wang Hu didn't forget to remind his friend.
"This guy."
Shaking his head, Li Chengzhi's gaze turned sharp. The reason their previous attack tempo had been slow, even to the point of basically toying with the Orb Self-Defense Forces, was precisely because they were waiting for this moment, wasn't it?
ZAFT Forces' entry provided another excellent piece of compromising material for our Bureau of Barbarian Affairs masters. If any eagle painted with black and white paint tries to cause trouble after the war, this would be one of the best pieces of evidence.
"All units of the East Asian Army Special Mobile Force - Uprising Army, launch the assault. Combat must conclude within 30 minutes." Li Chengzhi made his demand through the unit's communication channel. If they launched a formal attack and couldn't capture Kaguya Port within 30 minutes, they'd definitely be laughed at by brother units later!
"Received."
"Understood."
"Is the vice-captain looking down on us?"
Hearing Li Chengzhi's requirement, the Uprising Army members - all elites selected from various units whom Wang Hu had personally beaten into submission - responded like tigers released from their cages, instantly stirring up a storm at Kaguya Port.
"One!"
An elite soldier of the Uprising Army piloting a Jeda harvested another victory with a horizontal slash.
"Hahaha, where are you aiming?"
Another Uprising Army elite taunted the Orb Heretic over the public comm channel.
The pilot inside the opposing MS Heretic was drenched in sweat as he desperately fired his rifle, having already given his all.
Yet every shot, every single round was precisely aimed.
But none could hit the enemy MS Jeda that kept closing in on him!
"Why, why?"
He watched as the enemy casually approached with butterfly steps.
His cockpit display clearly showed the opponent leisurely drawing a beam saber.
Just before the blade pierced through his cockpit armor and turned him to ashes in the intense heat,
the Orb Heretic pilot couldn't help but voice his final question.
"Why can't I hit you!"
"Isn't it obvious?"
Watching the enemy MS Heretic he'd just eliminated begin to collapse,
the Uprising Army elite smiled as if stating the most natural fact.
"I serve under that Kirin Wang Hu. If I couldn't even do this much, I'd have been kicked out of the Uprising Army long ago."
Indeed, every soldier in this Uprising Army unit under the East Asian Alliance command was a veritable Ace!
Performances like these two warriors displayed were commonplace on the battlefield - completely unremarkable standard operations.
Some engaged in long-range precision shooting, others charged at high speed to pierce enemies with beam sabers.
There were even small squads that, through perfect coordination, activated the invincible mode to mow through enemy formations like cutting grass.
Facing this Uprising Army that had gotten serious and was determined to capture Kaguya Port in under 30 minutes,
the heavily fortified Orb self-defense forces stationed here - whom Uzumi had placed great hopes in - were no different from stationary targets.
They couldn't even slow down the East Asian Uprising Army's advance.
No matter what efforts these Orb self-defense forces made.
For example...
"For Orb!"
One desperate Orb soldier, seeing that he couldn't stop the enemy no matter what, made his final choice.
Screaming wildly with the spirit of a kamikaze, he raised his shield and seized an opportunity.
Charging toward the nearest Uprising Army Jeda - theoretically the one least likely to notice him.
He would take the enemy with him using his own life!
"Hahaha, die already."
When he reached his targeted Jeda and saw it still hadn't noticed him,
the Orb soldier discarded his shield, his face twisted by adrenaline.
"See you at Yasukuni!"
The Orb soldier broadcast his final farewell to all comrades over the comm.
He would inspire his comrades' fighting spirit with his death.
"Mr. Matsushita! Banzai!"
Watching Orb soldiers immediately expressed their blessings and admiration for their comrade,
preparing to follow the brave warrior's example.
They would make the East Asian Army understand that Orb forces could not be disrespected - even if it cost their lives!
"Fool!"
Just as this self-proclaimed Orb warrior was about to take his final step toward success,
the East Asian elite in his targeted Jeda's cockpit let out a contemptuous laugh.
"How?!"
The Orb soldier stared in disbelief as a beam saber emerged from the enemy's elbow joint,
perfectly positioned to impale him.
With eyes wide in unwillingness and head tilted, the Orb soldier who had ultimately become a clown didn't even close his eyes.
Then he departed from this strife-filled mortal world.
"Idiot."
Retracting his Beam Saber and disdainfully pushing the Heretic aside, the elite Uprising Army soldier stared at the panoramic display in his cockpit.
In the top right corner was a special small screen where data collected by every friendly unit formed a real-time data chain.
So attempting to defeat them through ambush...
"Eat shit!"
Having voiced his contempt for the foolish Orb soldiers, this elite Uprising Army warrior threw himself back into the fray.
"How could this be?"
Many Orb soldiers who had placed their hopes in Matsushita's human-wave attack
Instantly found his absurdly casual death unacceptable.
Then, facing the wolf-like East Asian Uprising Army before them,
Their will to fight began to dissolve, with less resolute soldiers starting to retreat.
This fear of the Uprising Army spread like contagion, swiftly and violently sweeping through all Heretic pilots.
Rout became inevitable as Heretics, having lost their fighting spirit, retreated en masse from their positions.
After all, when the East Asian Army launched its formal assault, Orb soldiers still hadn't seen
The drones and other weapons coordinating with Mobile Suits that their comrades had mentioned from the main city - up to now, Orb forces had gained nothing.
The enemy's strength simply couldn't be matched by soldiers from a small nation like theirs.
We're all born of parents - who doesn't value their life?
"Defeated?"
Standing in the control center, Uzumi watched the frontline collapse like a mountain avalanche, witnessing the East Asian Army's combat prowess up close.
Having directly experienced his own military's incompetence at close range, he revealed a bitter smile.
"No."
A lion remains a lion, never lacking indomitable spirit.
Hearing the increasingly intense and approaching gunfire outside, Uzumi looked up at the sky.
"ZAFT!"
He muttered bitterly about these uninvited malicious guests, well aware of the Coordinators' intentions.
"Do it if you can."
Straightening his clothes, Uzumi wanted to witness what he considered the final outcome in his last moments.
"Don't forget, I still have the Orb Self-Defense Fleet!"
Even now, he clung to hope for that naval fleet.
"Athrun!"
Nicol, piloting the Destiny Gundam that had replaced the former Captain Creuset's position, sweat beading on his face.
The Destiny's Dragoons, limited by Earth's Gravity Well, could only function as fixed turrets.
But the fire suppression from so many gunports was no illusion.
Yet facing his slippery old opponent - the Lightning Z Gundam piloted by East Asia's Kirin Wang Hu -
Nicol felt extraordinary pressure.
It was as if his opponent had eyes all over his body, seeing through every attack pattern.
The rain-like dense Beam attacks merely required slightly more effort to evade.
If not for his friend Athrun's Justice Gundam with enhanced close-combat capabilities,
Nicol in the Destiny felt he would have sustained at least several armor breaches.
"Indeed, the Destiny Gundam's full power can only be unleashed in space."
Frowning, Nicol pulled back to create more distance.
Watching Athrun locked in fierce combat with Wang Hu, he immediately breathed a sigh of relief.
Truly worthy of their latest nuclear-powered mobile suit—even the previously superior East Asian Army's Gundams were now outclassed.
They could win! There was a chance!
"Wang Hu!"
The moment they engaged, Athrun activated Seed Mode. Facing such a formidable opponent, no amount of caution was excessive.
Seizing an opportunity during their clash, Athrun swiftly created distance and shouted.
"Nicol!"
"Leave it to me!"
Nicol responded with understanding, lowering the barrels of his Dragoons to aim at Wang Hu's Lightning Z Gundam.
Simultaneously, Nicol raised his high-output beam rifle.
With firepower rivaling the Freedom Gundam's full-burst rainbow cannon attack.
A relentless stream of beam shots poured down toward Wang Hu like liquid mercury.
"Hmph, useless no matter how many times you try."
Ignoring the warning alarms in his cockpit, Wang Hu didn't even glance at Nicol's incoming beams.
Relying on his Newtype intuition, Wang Hu piloted the Lightning Z Gundam like a butterfly fluttering through flowers.
Weaving left and right, each movement appeared as precarious as performing acrobatics on a tightrope.
Yet Nicol's carefully aimed attacks couldn't even scratch the paint of Wang Hu's Lightning Z Gundam.
"Damn it."
Having witnessed Wang Hu navigate through Nicol's beam attacks multiple times, Athrun still found it hard to accept.
But this time, Athrun decided to take a more aggressive approach.
Drawing the Spinning Beam Blade from his shoulder, he hurled it toward Wang Hu.
Then, following closely behind his own Spinning Beam Blade.
Athrun plunged headfirst into the web of fire created by his friend.
"Athrun!"
Seeing his friend charge into his own beam attack barrage, Nicol instinctively began reducing the density of his fire.
"Don't stop! Believe in me!"
Sensing his friend's decreased beam attack frequency, Athrun immediately made his demand.
