On the rooftop helipad of the Osborn Tower.
Venom Robin looked up at the completely scrapped helicopter and asked Batman, who was standing beside him, "How should we handle this?"
Hawkeye couldn't have appeared in New York from the Cube out of thin air. Although he hadn't mentioned it, Batman had quickly discovered the helicopter parked atop the Osborn Tower.
However, this wrecked helicopter was of no help to Hawkeye and Batman's operations; right now, it could only be used to train Robin.
"Before disposing of it, try to analyze the distance of this helicopter's last flight. Where did it depart from?" Batman asked.
Venom Robin rolled his eyes. "Don't you already know? Hawkeye flew it here from the Cube."
Batman instructed patiently, "What if we had never made contact with Hawkeye from the start? If this helicopter, which inexplicably appeared on the Osborn Tower helipad, were placed before you, what intelligence could you gather from it?"
Venom Robin ducked into the helicopter's cockpit, fiddled with the electronic instruments inside for a moment, then slapped the glass beside him, sending it flying. He poked his head out to look at Batman.
"Nothing can be gathered. Its electronic equipment is completely scrapped."
Batman didn't speak. He walked slowly to the helicopter's fuel tank, observed it carefully for a moment, and then beckoned to Venom Robin.
"Come here."
There was no moon tonight, and the sky was covered in dark clouds, but both Batman and Robin could observe every detail in the pitch-black environment.
Venom Robin climbed out of the cabin and trotted over to Batman, looking up at the helicopter's fuel tank.
"Batman, you shouldn't be poor enough to need to recycle the fuel in here."
Batman shook his head. "Distinguishing between military and civilian fuel is also one of the skills we need to master."
"This helicopter obviously uses high-purity military fuel. If we insert an instrument into the tank, we can determine how much fuel was in the tank before the last flight mission."
Venom Robin glanced at the utility belt around Batman's waist. "But we probably don't have that kind of instrument."
"If needed, I can make one at any time." Batman looked at the pitch-black Venom face under the white shroud cloak. "Based on the calculation of this helicopter's fuel consumption and initial fuel load, we can determine how far it flew. Then, based on the specific use of military fuel, we can narrow down its point of departure."
Venom Robin understood immediately. He nodded and threw out the initial question again.
"How should we handle it?"
"Throw it into the abandoned shipyard in Lower Manhattan," Batman said.
Hearing this, several pitch-black tentacles extended from Venom Robin's body to wrap around the helicopter. He then lifted the helicopter, weighing less than ten tons, with a single hand.
Together with Batman, the two sped off, one after the other, toward the abandoned shipyard that Batman had used as a temporary operations center when he first arrived.
These past few days, Venom Robin attended classes with Dr. Banner during the day and underwent various training sessions with Batman at night.
Not just combat skills and tactical training, but also various detective skills and instructions in professional knowledge.
After a few days, Venom Robin had improved rapidly. Batman only needed to teach any content once, and Venom Robin could learn it on the spot by combining the memories obtained when he previously possessed Batman with practical application.
Khonshu, the Moon God, had not appeared again since establishing the contract with Venom Robin.
He even stopped forcibly intervening in New York's nighttime weather to let moonlight bathe the earth; the night sky over New York began to see cloudy weather again.
The distance from the Osborn Tower to the abandoned shipyard wasn't too far; at least for Batman and Venom Robin, it was a journey of only a few minutes.
Thud!
Venom Robin casually tossed the scrapped helicopter next to a ship that had long since rotted away.
"Bat Island is temporarily unusable, and South Brother Island is too small in scale," Batman said to Robin, who still looked relaxed after running for several minutes while carrying a helicopter with one hand. "Tonight, this will serve as my training ground for you."
Venom Robin looked around, walked up to three stacked counterweights that Batman had once used for weight training, bent down to lift them, and casually threw them away.
With a loud boom, the heavy counterweights smashed onto the ground, kicking up dust.
Venom Robin shook his head. "These aren't heavy enough, Batman."
Prone to arrogance seemed to be a common failing of all Robins, and Venom Robin was no exception.
Batman didn't get angry. He walked over to the counterweights Venom Robin had thrown, bent down to lift them just the same, and threw them back.
"I don't need you to continue developing your body's potential. I only need you to be able to utilize one hundred percent of your current strength."
"Strength, speed, reaction time, conditioned reflexes—every single one needs training."
"Oh." Venom Robin didn't like training. He wanted to act alongside Batman sooner, to do his favorite thing: beating people up.
But he had to listen to Batman. Whether it was the initial Venom, the later reawakened Symbiote, or the current Venom Robin, he was long accustomed to obeying Batman's orders.
And this was exactly the effect Batman wanted.
The abandoned shipyard was large, occupying an area at least bigger than the Stark weapons manufacturing plant that Obadiah Stane had once secretly controlled.
Norman Osborn needed to spend tonight on Bat Island. If there were still no incidents, Batman would then consider taking him away.
Only then would Batman bring Venom Robin back to Bat Island for more professional and thorough training.
Although he was verbally reluctant, once he entered the training state, Venom Robin was essentially the hardest on himself among all of Batman's Robins.
This was certainly partly because his body was composed of the Symbiote and moonlight, so he didn't fear physical injury, but his ruthlessness was such that even Batman needed to watch him constantly to prevent him from overexerting himself and turning back into pure Venom.
At LaGuardia Airport, not far from Riker's Island, Hawkeye boarded a plane bound for Yokohama, Japan.
At the same time, Garrett, also a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent, arrived at Riker's Island.
As a Level 8 Agent, Garrett possessed all the skills and qualities other S.H.I.E.L.D. agents should have.
After arriving in New York last night, Garrett immediately reached the same conclusion as Hawkeye: Black Widow seemed to have vanished into thin air, with no clues to be found.
"Batman, Iron Man, Ant-Man, and the Wasp."
Garrett whispered to himself, his voice fading with the wind.
"Black Widow couldn't have disappeared for no reason. Since she is a snake, then she must have had contact with one of these guys, failed in an attempt to recruit them, exposed her identity, and been imprisoned by them."
"She hid it really well. Even I didn't know that, like me, she was a snake lurking within S.H.I.E.L.D."
"Nick Fury wants me to arrest her? What a joke! If she really is HYDRA, I'll find a way to rescue her!"
"Hail HYDRA!"
