"During World War II, the United States used over three hundred Black soldiers in secret experiments, hoping to replicate Captain America's Super Soldier Serum."
"On the surface, the records state that they all failed, but I noticed an internal S.H.I.E.L.D. report. A Black man named Isaiah Bradley is highly suspicious."
"Over the years, the U.S. government has frequently attempted to use technological means to recreate a figure like Captain America. However, their goal isn't to promote such a person as a spiritual leader, but rather to manufacture an army of super soldiers."
"General Ross is the representative figure of this faction. It is entirely foreseeable that similar figures like Isaiah might exist within the U.S. military."
"Last month, there were rumors in Italy of werewolf sightings across multiple farms. The truth of this remains unverified for now."
"The Asia of this world is far too mysterious to me; it seems to harbor many more secrets than the world I came from. I investigated XZ and its surrounding Himalayan mountain range, but whatever exists there has left no trace on the internet."
"Furthermore, there is Kunlun, that legendary place..."
Batman was not in the Batcave at this moment. Instead, he was moving rapidly on foot toward the base in the Adirondack Mountains.
He intended to take advantage of the Hydra army's full-scale mobilization to see if he could secure the Tesseract.
Even while rushing to his destination, Batman did not let his mind rest.
The intelligence sent by Adrian Toomes, the Vulture, from Latveria explicitly mentioned that aside from Boomerang and the convicts from Ryker's Island, there were dozens of supervillains from all over the world.
The Vulture did not know them, nor was he about to risk his cover to ask for their names and abilities just for the sake of intelligence.
Batman could only rely on the various pieces of information he had gathered since his transmigration to deduce which villains were likely to appear.
"Mexico, the West Coast, Eastern Europe, Washington, Los Angeles... most of the probable criminals are concentrated in these areas."
The Justice League had only just been formed. The current war was not yet over, and the people from Latveria had not arrived yet.
Batman was already thinking ahead to the aftermath of the battle, contemplating the formation of multiple organizations responsible for different regions—much like the Justice League, Justice League Dark, and Justice League of America of his past.
As his mind raced, Batman's mouth never stopped moving. He continuously listened to reports from the Justice League members who had already entered Manhattan to join the fray, while simultaneously coordinating their tactical movements.
It could be said that aside from Robin—the young lad who had trained under Batman for several months and knew exactly what his role was—the others only knew how to fight blindly, completely lacking tactical awareness.
It was equivalent to having a fully loaded gun but using it as a club to bludgeon people. While it could still beat someone to death, the efficiency was far too low.
The Hulk had already clashed head-on with the Red Hulk. Under Batman's deliberate guidance, the Hulk consistently kept the fight centered around areas like junkyards and abandoned shipyards, avoiding residential zones.
Their battle required no tactics; it was a clash of pure brute strength, punch for punch. One grew progressively stronger, while the other's body temperature skyrocketed.
In fact, when the Red Hulk stayed in one spot for too long, nearby metal would begin to glow with a faint red hue. Clearly, his temperature had reached an atrocious level.
This extreme heat caused the Hulk excruciating pain with every punch he landed.
However, the pain did not make the Hulk back down. Instead, it fueled the rage in his heart, causing his strength to swell even further.
Judging by the current situation, it was only a matter of time before the Hulk emerged victorious.
The fact that the Black Knight, Dane Whitman, had obtained the Strider mount through the Lady of the Lake had not escaped Batman's notice. In fact, the moment the two of them veered off course beneath Stark Tower, Batman had detected it immediately.
Fortunately, aside from granting Whitman a pegasus, the appearance of the Lady of the Lake did not seem to pose any other threat.
By this time, Robin and Whitman had leveraged their speed advantage to reach Times Square, converging with Wolverine, Daredevil, and Black Widow, who were traveling on foot.
After Blade rescued Hawkeye, the two continued their pursuit of Baron Zemo. They finally located him a few minutes after Batman left Batisland.
Hawkeye transformed his longbow into a staff, engaging in close-quarters combat against Baron Zemo, who wielded a rapier. The moment their duel began, Blade immediately headed toward an underground parking garage.
Batman and Blade shared a communication channel, allowing Batman to promptly deploy Blade to rescue Hawkeye and, moreover, to understand Blade's purpose in heading to that underground garage.
At some unknown point, that location had been converted into a dance floor. A full hundred vampires were hiding there, throwing a party while waiting for Hydra to occupy New York so they could share dominion over the city.
"Based on my deductions, S.H.I.E.L.D. will arrive in Manhattan within an hour and ten minutes to an hour and thirty minutes, and they won't be able to resist launching an attack."
"Their targets will be Daredevil, Wolverine, Jessica Jones, and the comatose Luke Cage."
Upon entering the Adirondack Mountains, Batman unleashed his full speed, advancing in a straight line as a blurred black shadow. Within an incredibly short span of time, he approached the Hydra base hidden within the terrain.
"I need to clear out any potential enemies inside the base and secure the Tesseract within half an hour."
Batman set a strict time limit for himself, stepping into the base without breaking his stride.
More than ten minutes later, Captain America, Steve Rogers—wearing a uniform caked in unidentifiable grime and holding a black-painted circular shield—also arrived at the scene.
He frowned at the ground, observing the furrowed earth that extended unmistakably from the direction of New York. Tightening his grip on his shield, he slipped into the base as well.
Fifth Avenue was currently the site of the most intense fighting, with the conflict peaking around Times Square.
Amid the spraying bullets and blood-drenched pavement of Fifth Avenue, a low-slung silver sports car was speeding forward.
"Fk!"
A stray bullet struck the window glass, prompting the driver to curse under his breath and slam his foot down on the gas pedal.
Ring, ring, ring!
As the sports car threaded through the scattered corpses, the phone suddenly rang.
He subconsciously answered the call, and a scream immediately erupted from the receiver:
"Stephen! Have you lost your mind?! Everyone in Manhattan is hiding somewhere, and you're the only suicidal idiot driving a sports car out there! Get back here!"
The man weaving through the Hydra corpses, one hand gripping the steering wheel and the other holding the phone, was none other than the Metropolitan neurosurgeon, Doctor Stephen Strange.
"I'm sorry, Christine." Doctor Strange kept his eyes locked dead ahead, continuously maneuvering the sports car to carve a sharp arc down Fifth Avenue. "My patients are at the hospital, and I am a doctor. I have to go."
"You're insane!" Christine, Doctor Strange's fiancée on the other end of the line, was breaking down as she listened to the screeching sound of tires tearing through the receiver.
She was about to berate him—or rather, not berate him, but desperately try to talk her self-sacrificing fiancé out of throwing his life away for his patients—when a loud explosion erupted from the phone, and the line abruptly cut out.
On Fifth Avenue, the silver sports car skidded on the thick layer of blood coating the asphalt. It slammed heavily into a wall, instantly buried beneath a shower of collapsing bricks.
