C79: Yahar'gul Hidden Village
Taking an unfortunate break from finishing the dungeons since I did not actually realize that the brain of Mensis was required to access Ihyll which is vital to the story.
Also as of posting this, im going to be resigning from my job due to health reasons as well as multiple instance of discrimination and federal crimes my workplace is comitting. im tired of being their damn toy so im leaving. im not sure what the future has in hold for me. so I ask for your prayers a bit and hopefully you keep enjoying as I figure out how to support myself in the future. i definitely will try not to drop but possibly more frequent breaks if my work speed slows down at all because of this.

"Dang it, why did I have to get distracted?" I curse as I realize that I have to start from the cathedral chapel and then run on over to the Yahar'gul hidden village entrance which is where the Amygdala crushed me before, sending me to school.
I use Quicksilver to rush on over there, clearing out the few enemies along the way. Simply using my eldritch arm to pull out their souls since the gap between us is too large that I just directly pull it out even when I don't absorb it after.
Entering the building that has the amygdala inside, I find said Amygdala, I guess the one I killed in the nightmare realm was not the same one as this, which is weird.
"Well, hey there…buddy." I enunciate the last word, and funnily enough, the kin creature trembles upon noticing me.
"Wanna come down here and have a quick bite with me? No? What if I promise to not actually bite you? Okay, guess you leave, or I kill you. Make your choice. Noooo no no no. Im going there, right fucking now. That side is death. Go back to Yharnam where you will be safe from me. Don't wanna listen? Thats fine" i have a nice simple chat with the Amygdala here who made the wrong decision and entered Yahar'Gul.
The last thing it saw but me, jumping at it's stupid goddamn mucus spouting head with the moonlight Greatsword in hand. I made sure it suffered for it's mistakes.
Walking down the staircase, I get, you wouldn't believe it, another staircase. I do have to kill three villagers whose skin has turned red. You think they might be infected with something? They do squirt out a red ooze from themselves that dissipates a moment later.
But back to the staircase. This one is outdoors with the railing broken. Though I do notice an item just below, so I drop and pick up the frenzied Coldblood (8) here.
Continuing forward, I do find the lamp here, speaking of lamps, the one to Hypogean Gaol got disabled somehow. I'll have to check up on that place later.
Continuing a bit forward, I find that the path splits from here, the left side has a long staircase leading down into a building with another lesser Amygdala providing overwatch. The others seem like an empty path. I love empty paths, they only make it more fulfilling when I take the correct path.
In the right side path, I find an old man in a wheelchair with a flintlock rifle. He is so adorable, trying to shoot at me when I'm behind a random pillar and not even caring about his presence as I take down two more villagers which now that im taking a better look at them. They appear to be the same as the summoned spiders and other dungeon creatures from that summoner bitch.
"Sniff, sniff sniff. They're here" I actually use my wind mastery to find one of them in the path down the staircase but none in my general vicinity, so by that regard, this one is weaker than any of the ones in the chalice dungeon.
I picked up the Iron Yahargul helm, which was sitting on the floor next to the other pillar. I then find a lift that doesnt work for me but find something interesting.
"This architecture, the positioning of the broken carriages. Thats the hypogean Gaol at the bottom. Lots of creepy crawlies. Awww, they broke my lamp. Thats why I cant travel there anymore. Wait a second. If they broke my god damn lamp, does that mean, they hurt my fucking cuties?" Rage sparks in me as I don't even bother throwing the old man villager down the stairs to tide my usual rage over my bum ass of a foster father and go back to the previous lamp before sitting down next it.
"Hey there, buddies. Quick question. I found a lamp thats broken down below. None of you guys were hurt right?" most of this group shake their head before one releases a gurgle that causes the rest to look at 'him'/'her'. I can strangely see that this one is missing an arm. While most have some degree of injury, it's never to the point of outright losing a limp. All have at least both arms but this one is missing said arm. It bows to me, even using it's remaining arm to cover where it's missing arm was.
"Aww, it's okay buddy. I'll tear them to pieces for you" I give the baby a hug before standing up.
"I was already planning to kill you, you didn't have to make it worse for yourself like this" I mutter to myself as I stand before the staircase leading down to where I sensed the summoner.
A few villagers that were roaming rush at me but I do what I do best. Inflict pain and suffering in the most confusing way possible.
"When the moon hits your eye, like a big pizza pie. Thats a moray." my lyrical genius shatters all of their skulls and even the amygdala hanging off the side of the building, trembles as their gravitational palm slaps against their own head. Stunning it for quite some time. Only a few of it's eyes work at this time as a serrated chainsword meets it's skull and begins to tear through it's hard with it's own empowered shadow controlling said blade and holding it in place to so easily tear apart as the chainsaw sword is revved up multiple times before it's soul is then damaged by a tentacle from a long distance away that is quickly shortened as Curious George level 6 kicks in to at provide 60% of my stats to me as I tear this amygdala apart until it's corpse falls to whatever is down there. As for me, I use the tentacle to return to the main path with Null in my hand.
I make my way inside the building as I kill off another random summoned villager before finding the summoner herself. She is standing a half step above me before I quickly shorten that distance
"Ya know, I would have killed you anyways. But now I gotta make you suffer. Do you know what that type of anguish will flow through me due to what im gonna have to do to you? The answer to that is absolutely none." Splat
I slap the face of the chime maiden and she falls over with her face deformed from my strike. I made sure to hold back as I can tell now that she is one of the only actual living beings here.
She's special.
Gotta make sure the pain she feels is also special.
I keep slapping her until she turns to mush in my palm. Not for a lack of trying but she did attempt to crawl away in fear with groans escaping her lips due to her face being the first to be deformed. I made sure her legs were the second before her making her arms the third. No more summoning for her as I pocket the useless bell.
I then took out a little something I bought from the system. It works similar to the dna needle I got as a system reward, but this one works inversely to grant the second person a portion of the first persons power. Now this needle is not the proper version of it. In fact its incomplete. But a life creator who gazed upon the power of a world creator.
Yea I fixed it by making a ball of metal with a few runes on it that upon activation, would grind it down to dust which would then purify an object below it. This in turn would 'upgrade' the syringe which I then used to grant myself the chime maidens summons skill which works for every creature i've ever encountered.
The pet system thanked me for my hard work as it then allowed me to 'build' any and all of my possible summons to make them into stronger versions of themselves. Like turning a rat into a rat god. Or rather than a god, it would be a king or high grade general. I could even spawn more chime maidens who would then in turn summons other creatures under my control.
It's very convenient. Unfortunately though, I'm not able to upgrade this skill itself so I'm stuck with the very high mana cost. Though it could rise or fall depending on the specific summon and if I upgraded them or not.
(think of elden ring spiritcalling except I have both the spirit to summon and then am the spiritcaller who can upgrade them but only use blood echoes to upgrade rather than the glovewort)
Having finally gotten what I wanted from the useless summoner. I find that one of the babies is holding a note. In fact it's the one that was injured. They are holding a diary page which I begin to read as I pet them all as the injured one was with it's buddies who were helping it move since they had to crawl forward.
"The Mensis ritual must be stopped, Lest we all become Beasts"
"So you want me to stop the ritual? Is this your revenge plan?" I ask the children who growl and bounce as a form of confirmation and happy communication.
"I was already going to do that but Ill just have to make sure it's painful now. At least, for them. "I give them a few more head pats which the system acknowledges.
[The host has unlocked the skill, Head Pats, due to repeated actions.]
'Hmm, nice' I thought to myself.
From here, the path got somewhat confusing. First there is a winding pathway that leads to another chime maiden that I kill but that same area has another Heir rune which I pocket to brand myself later. From here the path splits into three. Though the second is a false path to hide a hidden path. There was one path that took me near some praying lady villagers who were standing beside a Mensis man with their dumbass cage headgear, this was the false path but it does lead down to the third. Killing them gave me nothing as they were proper summons unlike the men villager who at least gave me something. Further down was a cage with two brutes and one minigunner old man in a wheelchair.
A chest was also here with a tiny tontritus which I found adorable.
I then found a chime maiden on the floor above which I simply jumped up to and killed her to stop her from summoning anymore. Then dropped back down into the cage which had the upper cathedral key which I feel leads to somewhere important but don't remember what, but with all the things here taken care of. I travel back up to more ladies praying and whatnot with farm tools and molotovs. There is also another amygdala that is shooting an explosive laser repeatedly in streams. I made sure to relish killing it as I remember it killing me before in the game. Back from when I got surrounded by these dumb farm girls.
I take the villagers out before claiming the Amygdala attached high upon the building. Along the way I had also found the Side path that leads to the upper area of the previous chest area with the upper cathedral keys. I just ignored that since I had already cleared it out.
I then travel down the staircase that brings me to a lamp that looks over the Hypogean Gaol lamp which I see is indeed broken. I must be near the elevator leading back up. I should be able to find it soon once I drop down a bit more. I'm actually surprised that I got here so quickly with all the giant staircases leading up and down.
