Chapter 20 - Ch.20 Shovel

'Ugh, if only I could buy a new one.' He first thought about buying a new shovel instead of doing a trek to his home, but his current money which was just 20 bucks made him change his mind.

So with a sigh, he made his way towards his home while occasionally looking around to see what was in this town.

After half an hour, he finally reached the street where his house was located and, a few meters away, he could almost see his house.

'Finally.' Wiping off his sweat from all the walking, he made his way towards the garage door instead of the main door, and went inside the garage.

Entering the garage, the first thing he noticed was the white car which he remembered Debbie used to drive to her work. And next to the car was a lawn mower but, most importantly, the thing he was looking for, which was a shovel.

'Pretty lucky, aren't I?' While it was all vague memory which he wasn't sure of, he felt relieved when he saw the shovel was real.

"Yep, this should do!" Picking up the shovel which was hanging on the wall, he examined it thoroughly and didn't find any faults.

'Here I come, money and Diane.' He was already feeling excited about having some money and not to mention, spending time with Diane.

"Ahem." But his thought process was broken due to a cough from beside him.

And looking to his side, he could see Jenny looking at him with a suspicious look while wearing her usual attire which consisted of a t-shirt and her underwear.

"What are you doing with that shovel?" She closed the gap between them and thoroughly observed the shovel, then asked her question.

"This?" He lightly lifted up the shovel to showcase it, and with a shrug said, "Taking it to Diane's house."

"Gonna be working for her from now on this summer." He said with a big smirk on his face as he knew that right now, she was jobless.

"Diane gave you a job?" With a baffled look, she looked at him and couldn't believe that he had gotten a job before her.

"…She's never offered me any work!" Stomping her feet on the ground, she conveyed each of her words while grinding her teeth.

"Well, it's physical labor in her garden." He lightly shrugged while watching her outburst with a smile.

"And don't think you are cut out for it." He remembered how she hated doing any kind of physical labor so it was pretty obvious to him why Diane never offered it to her. 'And not to mention your attitude.'

"Ugh, in this heat?" While she wanted to refute, she couldn't help but agree with him as doing such work in this summer was impossible for her. "Yeah, no way. Screw that!"

"Uh huh! Anyway, what are you doing in the garage?" Lightly nodding along with her, he asked about something he was most curious about as she hardly ever left her room.

"I need some batteries. Don't we still have some here?" Putting her hands on her waist, she looked around the garage to find batteries for the stuff she was planning to do.

"Think so." While not fully sure, he expected the garage to contain batteries and noticed a box on the shelf which usually contained random stuff. "Maybe it's in that box on the bottom shelf there."

Quickly, she turned around as she leaned towards the bottom shelf to find the batteries which were in the box.

'Holy!' As she wore only her underwear, he couldn't help but notice how big her ass was and it didn't just end with that.

As she put the box down on the ground, she leaned down even further which emphasized her butt even more.

But his attention was quickly turned away from her butt as she stood up while holding almost 10 batteries in her hand.

"Are you planning to create a time machine or what with all those batteries?" The only thing he could think about was her selling these batteries for little money but that seemed too much of a hard work for her.

"Ha Ha! Funny joke, Loser. But none of your business." With a sarcastic laugh, she turned around but not before saying more things to him. "Now take your shovel and beat it!"

"Gonna be pretty fun doing some job unlike someone." With a smirk, he retorted back at her as she looked at him with a wince.

"Have fun busting your ass for Diane…" But she controlled her anger, as she said those words with a forced smile as she knew that money wouldn't be worth all that effort.

"Hahahaha!" With that thought, she exited the garage while laughing loudly.

'Annoying.' Looking at her back, that's the only word that he can find to describe her which further motivated him to complete that quest.

'Anyway, here I come Diane.' He then quickly removed her thoughts as he looked at the shovel and thought about the fun time he's gonna have with her.

'And not to mention, the world I am in.' With him realizing what kind of world this was, he knew those stuff are bound to happen with Diane.

'But ugh, work!' But he couldn't help but grimace at the work he was about to do but lack of money really motivated him to not back out from it. 'And Diane.'

But before exiting the garage, he tried to do something which he was curious about.

Putting the backpack he was carrying on the ground, he tried to put the shovel in it which seemed pretty impossible.

'Holy!' But breaking the physics norms, the shovel immediately disappeared in the bag and he could easily access it from it when he thought about it.

'It's like those game inventories.' Realizing what kind of bag this truly was, he got one cookie out of it which was as fresh as it was in the morning and made his way towards Diane's home.
