The moment he finished speaking, the doll's light flared violently red.
Heat surged through the machine, causing Gabe to flinch and pull his hand away with a sharp hiss.
"That's a lie!" Damien burst out laughing, clearly entertained.
Gabe looked away, his jaw tightening.
Damien leaned back, eyes gleaming.
"You already know who you want," he said knowingly. "You just don't have the courage to say it."
Without wasting any time, Gabe reached for one of the small cups resting on the table. He grabbed it firmly and tilted his head back, downing the shot in a single gulp.
"Fuck!" he hissed immediately, slamming the empty cup down. His face twisted in irritation as he sucked in a sharp breath. "That burns my throat terribly."
Damien let out a quiet chuckle, clearly entertained.
"Truth or dare?" he asked, turning his attention toward Fred.
Fred barely hesitated.
"Truth."
Damien leaned forward slightly, resting his elbow on the armrest as curiosity flickered in his eyes.
