"I want to keep the baby, Gabe."
Fred finally replied after what felt like an eternity, tears rolling down his cheeks as he gently held his stomach. His voice trembled with emotion, but there was determination in his eyes.
"I can give up on my career. I've made a lot of money from it, after all. Enough to take care of my baby and give him a comfortable life. I don't think I need to keep working just to survive."
"Huh? You really want to choose the baby over your career?" Gabe raised an eyebrow, swallowing hard as he stared at him. "I know this is a really tough decision, but are you absolutely sure this is what you want? Your career means a lot to you too afterall, Fred. You always wished you'll be popular and now you are."
"Of course, Gabe," Fred replied immediately.
He lowered his gaze to his stomach, his fingers gently rubbing the spot as though he could somehow feel the tiny life growing inside him.
