Serena went closer to the prison door, smiling widely as she looked at Leon's face with conviction, "So in the end Evangeline called for help?"
Leon opened the door with an expressionless face. He recalled how Evangeline was crying but why were they so confident that they wouldn't be implicated in any problem? Now he was truly worried if Sir Elijah had made the right choice.
Their work had never been on the fair side, sometimes, they even prioritize the nobles over justice which had became the norm in their work. But still, Elijah would only subject the one who was truly at fault even if it was the slightest, never the one who obviously was innocent in this case.
