Evangeline was taken aback at the remark which was clear as she had stopped smiling and began to blink at Gallagher. She knew well that her childhood friend meant well but the way he had said that she was a hidden secret mistress stung.
"This is the castle of the Lord," she explained to him, "Not everyone could enter as easy as you think. Maybe it was simply a misunderstanding."
"See you're on your side!" Gallagher filled his cheeks with air. "Besides, I have been sending you letters, so it's not as if I came suddenly without a warning."
She raised her eyebrows, tilting her head, "You did?"
"You didn't got them, I knew it," Gallagher pursed his lips. "Think about it Eva, don't you think Lord Hades, well I'd say he's a real good man at his work as the Lord of Salestas, but he has his own secrets and none of them is good."
