Evangeline wanted to move forward but before she could even take another step, the purple-haired man had already reacted. His hand grabbed onto her shoulders and yanked her backward with surprising strength, forcing her away from the direction where Hades stood. She didn't even have the chance to fight back properly before his other hand immediately covered her mouth, preventing even the slightest sound from escaping her lips.
She struggled almost immediately.
Her fingers wrapped around his wrist, trying to pull his hand away, but it was useless. His grip was far stronger than she expected, and no matter how much she moved, she couldn't make him release her.
At the corner of his eyes, Hades caught sight of his beloved being held so roughly.
And that single sight was enough.
His calm expression immediately disappeared.
