Chapter 41 - Chapter 41 - The Ghost’s Reply

He picked up Kim Jae-ho's phone from the floor.

He crouched down, grabbed Kim's hand, and pressed his finger on the screen. The lockscreen opened right away.

He opened the camera and took one photo — Yoo Chan's face under the sheet, eyes half open, skin pale.

Then he went to the app and made a new account.

The name came to him without thinking.

[Underworld_Judge]

He opened the app and searched the thread.

The same post from [Street_King97] was still at the top — "Come get me, Underworld Judge. If you're real."

Hyun Woo's thumb hovered over the screen for a moment.

Then he pressed reply.

He attached the photo — Yoo Chan's lifeless face — and typed one line.

> [Underworld_Judge]: Judgment delivered.

He looked at it once.

Then he switched off the phone and slid it into his pocket.

"Keep running your mouth," he muttered. "I'll find you next."

He turned off the phone and put it in his pocket, then walked out without looking back. Behind him, what was left was just his judgment, the two bodies lying still on the floor.

There was no pity in his eyes, no guilt, just that quiet cold feeling inside him that told him this was how it should be. In his head, he didn't question it even once. He only thought that what he did was right.

Hyun Woo walked fast from Yoo Chan's house.

The street he was walking on was empty, all the shops were closed and the houses too.

He didn't look back, just kept walking straight.

He didn't want to stay there any longer.

When he reached home, he threw his jacket on the chair and dropped on the bed.

He didn't even turn on the light or take off his shoes.

His body felt so tierd, like his whole energy was drained from his body after using the skill.

He didn't think about anything, he just closed his eyes and slept.

It was already late at night. Most people were asleep.

But there were still some awake, the night owls, the ones who couldn't sleep, the ones just scrolling on their phones.

And they were the first ones to see it.

The new post from Underworld_Judge.

While Hyun Woo was sleeping, his post had already gone viral.

The photo he uploaded, the one with Yoo Chan's face, was spreading everywhere online.

In just a few minutes, everyone was talking about it.

The name Underworld Judge was all over the internet again.

Some were shocked. Some were scared. Some were cheering.

> [Noon_Fangirl]: holy shit he's real. THE UNDERWORLD JUDGE IS REAL

[Street_King97]: bro delete this, it's gone too far

[Fearless_0]: finally someone did what the cops couldn't

More comments kept coming. Thousands of them.

Some people were thanking him. Some were calling him crazy.

> [user_2014]: my sister jumped because of them. thank you whoever you are.

[Taejin_SchoolVictim]: i was in their school. thank you for giving us justice.

There were fights in the comment section too.

Some people called it murder, others called it justice.

> [LawAndOrder88]: this is not justice, this is killing

[TruthWatcher]: then tell the cops to do their job

[FaithInJudge]: for once, i'm not scared to go to school tomorrow

The post kept spreading faster and faster.

Every second, more people were liking it, sharing it, talking about it.

It was everywhere now, on every feed, every group chat, every trending page.

In less than ten minutes, the whole country knew.

The Underworld Judge was real.

Somewhere in Seoul, SNTV office.

Phones kept ringing back to back. Reporters were shouting across the tables, arguing about headlines and grabbing coffee in between.

Papers were scattered all over their desks, half-written notes and hot coffee cups.

Reporter Han stood up so fast her chair almost fell back.

"See? What did I say, editor? He's not just some serial killer — he's bringing justice!"

Han Soo-jin leaned forward from her desk, her eyes red from not sleeping. The moment the post went viral, she didn't waste a second. She'd spent the whole night digging through old files, school records, and articles that everyone else had forgotten.

Now, she had the story.

She grabbed the printed file from her desk and rushed straight toward the editor's office, her steps quick and uneven from excitement and no sleep.

"See? What did I say, editor?" she shouted over the noise, waving the printed case file in her hand. "It's him! The same kid from last year — Yoo Chan! The bullying case that got buried!"

She didn't stop talking, her words came out fast.

"He and Kim Jae-ho… they were the ones who bullied that student," she said. "The case was so clear. Everyone knew it. There were witnesses, even videos, and still nothing happened."

She dropped the file on his desk. "Tell me how a case like that just disappears."

Her voice wasn't loud because she was excited. It was because she was angry.

The editor leaned back on his chair, phone stuck to his ear. His inbox was full, the phones kept ringing, and his face had that greedy smile.

The SNS post was everywhere — trending on every site, people were talking about it nonstop.

The Underworld Judge had made their agency blow up overnight.

"Good, good, you were right, Han," the editor said, barely even looking at her.

His phone kept ringing, and he grabbed another call with a grin. "Yeah, it's blowing up. Views are climbing fast. Keep pushing the article to the front page."

He turned back to Han, waving his hand. "Go get me something bigger. An exclusive. A new headline. People love this stuff!"

Han just stared at him. The editor looked too excited — like a kid who just found gold.

She could see it in his eyes. He didn't care about the dead kid or the case. He only saw numbers, money, and fame.

Han didn't smile.

Her face stayed calm, but her eyes had that sharp look, like she was holding something in.

The editor, on the other hand, was already smiling. His phone was buzzing nonstop, sponsors calling, the ad numbers climbing. That was all he cared about — clicks, views, money.

Han wasn't like that. She didn't care about fame. What she wanted was the truth. The truth everyone else kept trying to bury.
