The first food truck was located not too far from the stadium's entrance so it didn't take long for Kyle to arrive.
There were a number of mobile benches and tables arranged in front of the truck, as well as a few chairs.
When Kyle arrived, he immediately saw the Big Three seated at one of the tables.
"Over here!" Nejire waved him over.
Kyle sat down and heaved a sigh. "Don't you guys have matches?"
Mirio shook his head as he sipped his smoothie. "We are done, it's only the first years that are left now."
"That is why we came here to relax…" Nejire chipped in.
Tamaki was also there, but he was trying his best to seem invisible.
"I see… so why did you call me?" Kyle found it hard to believe that they just wanted to hang out.
Although Nejire was a social butterfly, Kyle had noticed that she almost never acted without purpose.
"Oh, nothing really…" Nejire glanced to the side.
She paused for a second.
"But since you're here…."
Kyle gave her a blank stare. 'Here it comes.'
Nejire smiled. "I hear you can do tricks with coffee!" Her eyes were gleaming as she watched him with childish anticipation.
Mirio chuckled and placed his smoothie on the table. "Miss Akiko was here a few minutes ago for inspection and she did a little coffee trick for Nejire…"
"Nejire fell in love with the trick and Miss Akiko told her that you are a little better than her when it comes to tricks."
'So that was why she called me.'
Kyle sighed. Strangely, he felt used. It was like when a cute girl invites you on a library date only to make you do her homework.
And this is not Kyle speaking from previous… erm… experiences…
He stood up and began walking towards the truck. "Alright, but you'll owe me one."
After grabbing the things he needed, Kyle returned to where they were and performed a different trick for them.
This time he created a drink mixture, similar to the way bartenders did it with alcohol. When he was done, they all stared at him in awe.
Even some of the customers who were in line forgot themselves for a moment.
Nejire clapped, a bright smile on her face as she watched him. "How… did you do that?"
"You are very fast, for a second I almost thought you had a speed quirk." Mirio commented, smiling as he nodded slowly.
Tamaki stole a glance at the performance as well and Kyle earned a single clap from him.
Kyle smirked and set the cup down. "It takes years of practice, hard work, and dedication to pull this off."
"Now that will cost you—"
Nejire suddenly stood up, the table rattling from her sudden action. "Can you teach me?!"
'Huh?'
"Actually it's not that eas…"
"I'll pay for the lectures!"
"It's not about the mone—"
"I'm a fast learner."
Kyle ran his hand across his face and tiredly sighed. No matter what he said, Nejire seemed determined to learn no matter the circumstance.
'It's not like I have anything better to do…'
He had already accomplished what he wanted to do in the sports festival.
Very soon, the heroes would find out what would happen, so it was even good if he was with them when they did.
'Plus it would be good if I can make friends out of the Big Three…'
He had initially thought of making friends with the teachers or someone from 1-A, just so that he could get some information from them.
But after his 'visit' that was no longer very plausible.
"Alright, I'll teach you the basics."
"Really? Yes!" Nejire floated into the sky with her quirk, fist bumping the air just before floating to his side.
Her hands were clasped at her back as she leaned in slightly, watching him with utmost focus. "So… what do we do first?" She asked, trying to make her voice sound serious.
Kyle stroked his chin. 'Where do I start?'
He grabbed the smoothie he had made and passed it to Mirio, who happily accepted it while watching them.
"Is there anything you specifically want to learn?"
Nejire thought it over for a moment before smiling. "Coffee tricks! Those are really cool, aren't they? I really, really, really want to learn it!"
"Coffee tricks huh…"
Coffee tricks are the hardest to pull off, but since Nejire was already graceful, it shouldn't be too hard to teach her the basics.
Kyle grabbed the cup of coffee and balanced it on his thumb. "The first thing you need to do is understand every inch of this cup, pick one up."
Nejire grabbed a cup and tried balancing it on her fingers.
"No, don't try to do it ye—"
Crash!
"Heh?" Nejire looked down at the broken cup and then smiled at Kyle. "Oopsie…"
'This is going to take a while.'

After making sure that Nejire had gotten used to handling the cup, they tried once again.
This time, Kyle stood close to her, observing as she held the cup. She was doing well at first, but then the nervousness got to her and she started wobbling like a fish out of water.
"Calm down…" Kyle held her shoulder with one hand and then placed his second hand under her elbow, stabilizing her.
Then when he was sure she wouldn't drop it, he gently tapped the handle of the cup and it began to spin gently on her finger.
Nejire's eyes brightened, her lips parting slightly. "Are you watching, Mirio? I'm doing it!"
Mirio clapped as he finished his smoothie. "You are doing great!"
Tamaki raised a shaky thumb up. "N-n-nice w-work…"
Just like Nejire said, she was a fast learner, and although she was not yet perfect, they went through a lot of things in a short while.
Now it was time to give her a trick that pertained specifically to her.
Kyle could do the things he could do because of his vampire bloodline, which increased his senses.
As for Nejire…
Kyle held a half-full cup of coffee up to her. "It's time you learned your special skill. Try levitating this with your quirk."
"Really? Alright, let me try it." She pointed at the cup and a golden wisp of energy flew out of her fingers.
The energy beam curled underneath the cup and slowly lifted it into the air.
"It's working…" she said excitedly.
"Just try to keep it stable—"
"No no, don't fall, Mr. Cup!"
The coffee in the cup was shaking because of the spiral nature of her quirk, and then the cup tilted off the energy beam and landed right on a man's head.
"Argh, damn it! Who the hell did this?" The man angrily turned.
He was wearing a baggy zip-up jacket, which was now coated in a fragrant layer of coffee.
He angrily turned, his eyes landing on Nejire, who smiled nervously.
She quickly pulled out her handkerchief to wipe his shirt. "Erm… I'm so sorry!"
But the man recoiled the moment her hand touched him, slapping her hand away.
But Nejire had already felt it. The moment she touched him, she noticed a hard bump underneath his jacket.
He was hiding something.
"Why is there something under your shirt…"
"What is wrong with kids these days? That was my phone, you dim-witted fool!" He cursed, angrily wiping his body.
Kyle's gaze narrowed. 'Who keeps their phone strapped to their chest?'
Before he could leave, Kyle grabbed his shoulder and spun him to face him.
Then he grabbed the jacket and tore it open. But what he saw made his eyes widen in shock.
"?!"
'Is that…'
A bomb detonator?
