Song recommendation: Rather Be by clean bandit.
There was a beautiful woman leaning by the hospital wall.
She had glossy black hair cascading down her shoulders like strands of silk, an excellent figure, and sharp icy blue eyes that seemed colder than the artic itself.
Her face was spotless, her skin smoother than the finest jade, and her features appealing to the eyes.
Many people walked past her, some stopping briefly to stare, while others stealing glances as they walked by.
But she paid no heed to them…
A pair of white wired earpieces were plugged into her ears, the soft tunes flooding them as the wind blew past her, caressing her skin.
She could not hear their quiet whispers of admiration, neither could she see the way they looked at her.
She simply stood there, enjoying the serene environment.
By exactly 10pm, a black sedan pulled up to the entrance of the city hospital, stopping just in front of her.
At first, Tsumi did not notice the car, but then, the windows rolled up and the driver honked, pulling her attention to him.
At first she was annoyed and was about to give the driver a piece of her mind, when she saw who it was.
Kyle…
Her icy cold expression suddenly turned warm, and a bright smile appeared on her face.
If any of the passersby had seen the way her expression shifted, then they would have frozen right where they stood.
"You're actually here in time…" she said as she unplugged her earpiece and got into the car.
Kyle smiled. "I told you didn't I? 10pm is 10pm, you should trust me more."
Tsumi chuckled. "Sure, sure, let's go!"
Kyle put the car into drive and pulled into the busy street, the dark road was bathed with tons of red lights flashing in the distance, and unending rows of streetlights brightened up the area.
Normally, Kyke woukd have preferred to use his air conditioner, but the weather had been increasingly getting colder, so he pulled down his windows to allow the natural air in.
"It's pretty cold…I guess it will be Christmas soon."
"Already?" Kyke asked, glancing at her before looking back at the road.
To him, it still seemed like yesterday that he had transmigrated into this world, seeing time fly by so fast felt surreal.
"So, how do you usually celebrate Christmas?" He asked.
Back when he was a student in his old world, Kyle had almost never celebrated the holiday.
He never really met his parents, so there wasn't really any family to celebrate with...
While everyone was having fun, enjoying the holidays, he would be moving from one part time job to the next because the pay was absurdly higher during those times.
He breathed out a sigh, shaking his head to get rid of his old memories.
Things were different this time…
He had Tsumi, Himiko and a lot of other people he could enjoy the holidays with.
But the thought of celebrating with Tsumi caused a light stinging pain in his chest.
Kyle had tried to avoid it for so long, yet, at times like this, the full weight of the truth often came upon him in an instant.
That truth was that he was not truly her brother…
He was simply a transmigrator masquerading around in a face that belonged to another person, and in a body that wasn't his.
Kyle glanced at Tsumi and she smiled at him.
'Should I just tell her?'
There was no telling what her reaction would be, hearing her beloved brother was truly dead and that she had been spending the last few months with a stranger.
"Well it depends…" Tsumi said, answering his question and interrupting his line of thought.
"Normally, I cook up a feast, but you were not always around really… you always spent your Christmas else where."
Her voice sounded a little sombre as she reflected on the past.
'So the original Kyle had never bothered to spend Christmas with his sister?' He mused.
With just the few months he had spent in this body, he could already tell how much Tsumi cared for her brother, how then could he neglect her like that?
"Anyways… this Christmas will be different." Tsumi beamed, her excitement fully expressed.
"I already have plans set up." She said smugly.
A smile found its way to Kyle's lips. "Really? What are you planning?"
Tsumi leaned back in her chair. "You'll find out when the time comes…"
She then clicked on the car's smart panel and began shuffling through different radio channels.
"There should be something good on at least." She muttered as she kept tapping the skip button.
Then they arrived at a certain station that piqued her interest.

So far, the public safety Commission has chosen to remain silent on the incident, but it is said tha—
Kyle's eyes widened. 'Of all things that could be on! How does news even travel so fast? I just left there!"
Tsumi shook her head. "Hmm, these guys are getting bolder by the day..."
"The audacity to attack the commission is really something… that midnight vigilante guy sounds like a reckless kid."
Kyle opened his mouth to speak in reflex, then closed it, remembering that he was with Tsumi.
Then Tsumi glanced at him. "What do you think? How long do you think he'll last before they get him?"
"Hmmm?" Kyle hummed, acting like he hadn't been listening to every word she had said.
"Oh, that vigilante guy? Well, if they could catch him, they would have caught him already right? Maybe he's just that good at his job…"
"Oho, you almost sound like you're supporting him." Tsumi said in a teasing voice. "Come
To think of it, you both have red eyes… are you by any chance the Midnight Vigilante?" she asked, an amused smile playing on her lips.
Kyke scoffed and relaxed deeoer into his chair. "Me? The vigilante? Tell me a better joke…"
But in reality, his heart was pounding in his chest.
'How can she guess something so accurate just from the colour of my eyes?!'
Tsumi might have been joking, but she had no idea that she had hit the nail right on the head.
She observed him for a few seconds, the amused smile never leaving her face.
He stole a glance at her and frowned. "What?"
Tsumi shook her head. "Nothing… I was just thinking that if he was you, then maybe it wouldn't be so bad…"
Kyle perked a brow. "Stop teasing me sis…"
Tsumi chuckled. "Okay, okay. I'll stop, but only on one condition."
"Which is?"
She smirked. "Buy me dinner…"
