Chapter 41 - A deceiving place.

Arthur's eyes opened, he was strangely not on a battlefield. He was in a room.

It was a well furnished room, made similarly to his own base in the hollow montains, speaking of Arthur wondered was ir still standing.

Brushing off the unimportant thoughts for another time. He looked around, noticing a mirror.

Arthur decided to actually check the vessel the spell gave him as he approached it though. He stopped in shock.

Because in the mirror, he saw himself.

The same golden neck long hair, the golden eyes, the face structure, everything. He even had the same white cloak, that he did not summon.

Confused and slightly worried, he glanced around the room once more.

Not noticing anything out of place, he approached a window, it was dark outside. Good he could get some information by snooping around.

Slowly exciting the room he was in, he was met by a hallway going in both directions, on a whim he decided to go left.

Before leaving, he made sure memories his room, just incase he needed to teleport back.

Barely managing to take a few steps, his hatred sense blazed, and he leaped to the side avoiding a claw.

Quickly Summoning the Dawn's ballad, he sliced off the head, of the cresture.

Inspecting, Arthur couldn't help but feel digusted st its appearance. It was a wolf like cresture, multiple human like hands sprouting from every which way, it's head more human than cresture.

Sighing Arthur got up from his kneeling position, continuing walking through the hallway, now sticking more to shadows.

He thankfully managed to avoid any more encounters with any beats. Soon he reached a gate like door.

Pushing the door inward, he entered.

Only to see a giant purple, wolf like cresture.

A stunning woman and, himself?

And when he locked eyes with his mirrored self, both of their eyes widening at the same time.

He woke up in the same room again.

Confused he repeated his previous steps, only for the same result to happen.

Finally he realized it, a loop.

This time he went to the right side, this time nothing lunged at him from the shadows of the hall.

Silently walking, he noticed that the hallway seemed to wrap around, and soon enough he reached the same room where his double was, just from a diffrent direction, and so the loop repeated.

Next he tried jumping from a window, when nothing happened he walked in a random direction, the grayish dead land sending Sligh shivers down his spine. It looked like the land between the forgotten shore and the hollow mountains, just more trees.

Arthur walked for what felt like eternity, until he was met by violet fire, just like his own, but he could feel it, it was far far more powerful than his own.

Even from a distance he could feel his skin tingle.

But the fire could only mean one thing, he double was here aswell, or atleast was.

Walking around the blazing tower of destruction, he noticed, that he could see ruined buildings and what looked to be tents on the edges of the flames.

A sickening thought entered his mind, but he pushed it away, not daring to think about it.

And when he walked around the fire, suddenly he was in the room again. He repeated his steps once again, this time keeping an eye out, this time he noticed a figure kn top of a higher not far away, gazing in his direction. His double most likely.

And then finally Arthur came to a realization, he could look at his double, he just had to make sure that the figure wouldn't see him.

He went back through the hallways, remembering there was a higher floor where his double stood.

He godstepped in the rough direction.

And so he saw his double, woman and wolf fight obominatios he could never face. And then suddenly,,a horned man entered, by his side a young lady with silver hair, suddenly his double was surrounded. Only for him to vanish without a trace. Godstep he realized. Then his eyes locked with the horned man, the appearent leader of these monster like warriors. And he was back in the room again. Now understanding that no one could see him, he repeated his steps, vanishing right after his double did, now in the room again, he pondered his next step. While it was quite obvious that he would need to follow "himself", he still didint know what the nightmare was about.
