Chapter 156 - Chapter 156 (Trouble!)

Now all of them were trying their best to not look me in the eyes, while Otaku had expressions as if he wanted to say, "Master, no, we can't; you shouldn't. If you are not getting the prey, that doesn't mean you have to settle for shit; you will regret it more than a pregnant woman!"

Well, despite such a face, he pulled him up, and to our surprise, this lizard was way too terrified that he was not even able to properly stand on his feet without shaking, and his eyes only had terror in them.

So seeing his condition, we all looked at each other while Otaku spoke: "Tell us, what is happening to this place and why are you people fighting like this?"

Hearing his words, that lizard spoke in a shaking and shivering tone: "S-si-sir, I don't know about this place, as our generals sent us to this realm and told us to make sure that no spider can get their feet on this area.

I and my people have been struggling here for years to fight against them, but we don't know why our general has left us here, as he only told us before leaving that we have only one duty for our clan: to make sure that no spider could ever crawl on this land!"

Hearing his words, I felt a kind of strange, familiar ache in my mind, and I spoke while interrupting him: "So bastard, what will happen to your family or friends? Or did that general bastard give you a time period for such a sick job, or did they tell you why you even have to stop those spiders?"

Hearing my increasing tone and seeing my serious expressions, otaku and others also looked at Lizard, but all of them were looking way too gloomy to hear his answer, but I wanted to hear it and make sure if my fear was right.

And soon he spoke with a somewhat confused and deep sincere tone: "Sir, we are just soldiers; we don't have such authority to know about such things, as our general also left this realm after a few years and told us to make sure that no spider gets to crawl on this planet!"

Hearing this bastard's words, I realized that my terror was right; it was the same fucking rule of military that spoiled countless lives of soldiers for their sick profit. The upper-position bastards were just using these poor soldiers to fulfill their sick tasks, and I was sure that those bastards must have even made sure that these people wouldn't have any resources or a way to return.

Damn, I knew the perfect name for this sickness, but I just didn't want to say it, and now I know why nobody wanted to hear his answers: because the reality was the same as our realm; no matter the species, they had the same sickness.

But while I was cursing this tragedy, a thought crossed my mind, and I spoke to Otaku and others: "Hey, do you all know about this planet's history, like how this planet was formed or what kind of species had this planet as their home or something?"

Hearing my words, Niona was not even trying to look at me, while Ashoka and Otaku had the same sorrowful eyes and a face of harsh reality. Seeing it, I started to realize why this sick planet was even surviving till now or how this planet was being used for trades.

So, seeing my realizing face, Otaku spoke: "Master, you are getting your own answer. This planet was originally the home for these spider species, and they used to live here in pretty vast numbers, and due to them, this planet wasn't sick like this. At that time, this planet wasn't just a pile of dust but rather a great planet with so many vast energy reserves.

And due to these spiders, the energy was properly regulated, and they ate all the overwhelming energy, causing the planet to properly balance its resources!"

Hearing his words, this time this false-tongued bastard again spoke: "Sir, sorry to interrupt you, but if this planet was their home, then why are they so few in number when we came here and this planet nearly had no reserves at that time?"

Seeing this bastard asking reasonable questions, we all looked at him in an obvious gaze, and this time Ashoka spoke: "Lizard, it's the same reason; the people who visited this realm just looted its resources, exploiting this planet's energy reserves, and when the spiders tried to defend their home, they just used force to clear them.

Due to a decrease in the number of spiders, the energy started to overflow again and caused the planet to become aggressive towards the energy, and that's how this planet came to this state."

Well, hearing this bastard's same cold tone and harsh words, even I was feeling bad about this lizard, and he continued speaking: "And soldier, sorry to break it to you, but your people have abandoned you all. The people who were sent here were never meant to return to their people, and to make you not abandon this mission, they used morals and ethics to fool emotional creatures like you!"

Hearing his words, his eyes became watery, this time not with terror, but with a proper pain, and he was just staring at us. Seeing him this blank, I felt that every world was just ruled by such bastards, who don't even think twice before ruining the lives of those dumb emotional people.

But while I was feeling bad, this creep spoke in panic and anger: "You lie, sir. I know I can't defeat either of you, but is this how you people fight? Don't you have any respect for fellow warriors, and why would my people even lie to me, and for what? For such a worthless planet that doesn't even have its own energy shells on it!"

Hearing his words, neither of us were feeling anger, because this anger was proof of his determination and trust for his people, so there was no way he could have accepted it easily.

So Ashoka gave a glance to Otaku, and Otaku flickered his finger, and a few people popped from thin air.
