Chapter 35 - Obsidian

Coral fell into deep thought after Elvira and Phillip left. It was true that she wanted to know about her father desperately. She didn't even know his name. All her uncle's family had ever told her was that her father was dead. They had never seen him, nor had they ever heard anything about him. But Coral still wanted to know if she had any other relatives on her father's side. Her uncle had only said that either he was an orphan or a married man, which was why her mother had never introduced him to the family. She had never gotten the chance to ask anyone about her father, as she had always remained in the village, while all the people who knew anything about her mother or father lived in the city. If what Elvira had said was true, then she might finally be able to learn something about her father and his family. She had always found it painfully unfair that she might have a family somewhere in this world, yet she had lived her whole life like an orphan.
