Chapter 3 - Telling the plan to parents

Ankit sensed the disbelief lingering in his father's eyes, but pressed forward, determined to convince his parents that his story—however fantastic—was true. His father, now silent but introspective, finally muttered, "We'll see." His mother, equally anxious yet curious, softened her tone. "Ankit, what is it you want from us?"

Emboldened, Ankit laid out his plan. "Mom, Dad, I want to help our family. I can make money, but I'll need your support." His father, protective as ever, replied, "We're not in need, son. I earn enough. What we need is your help at home—help your mother, look after your sister.

"Still, Ankit persevered. "Dad, I want to be ready in case there's an emergency. In my future, I'm already in college. I need a phone—I don't need school anymore. If I can make videos and upload them to YouTube, I can earn money. Please trust me."

His father's eyebrows shot up. "A phone? No school? What are your board exam marks?"

"78 in 10th, 82 in 12th," Ankit replied, steadily.

His father grew frustrated. "Just 78 and 82—yet you say school is unnecessary?"Ankit held his ground, calmly explaining, "Schools rarely guide us to real opportunities. I can succeed if you trust me with this."

His parents exchanged exasperated glances. "So you want to be a YouTuber? What kind of videos?"

Ankit explained his idea. "I'll make gaming videos; after 2019, they become hugely popular. I'll be ahead of the curve."

"What game?" asked his father."Free Fire—it launches next month, and will be massive."

His father paused, considering the possibilities. Ankit promised, "I know how this game evolves. If I grow famous, I can influence its development, making it better for everyone."

Impressed but still skeptical, his father bargained. "Tell me the launch date and your mother's secret, and you'll get your chance."

Ankit replied, "November 7th. And Mom doesn't like your beard."

His mother went back to washing dishes in silence, and his father, convinced by the honest answers, relented. "Fine. It's settled."

"Dad, if you're buying a phone, let me choose. It's an investment."

Though hesitant, his father agreed, and together they purchased a new phone. Ankit insisted on better internet and bank access, too, preparing for serious content creation. On launch day, father and son downloaded Free Fire together. While his sister grumbled about his time spent gaming, Ankit focused—ready to embark on his unique journey. The first step toward reshaping his family's future, and the world of Free Fire, had finally begun.
