Chapter 88 - Chapter 87 Coma

Xu Da's eyes widened instantly when he saw the octopus: "Ah Sen, watch out, there's a giant monster behind you!"

Xie Sen was startled, turned around, and saw the giant octopus watching the screen with great interest. A gray tentacle tip was very human-like, resting on his shoulder. Hearing Xu Da's words, it stared at the screen with

wide eyes: "I'm not a giant monster, I'm a super invincible giant octopus!" The octopus's head was huge, with eyes taking up a large part of its head, making its stare terrifying. The chat screamed: "Ahhh, streamer, run!"

Xie Sen only had his communication enabled, not his live stream, so he didn't see the chat. He remained calm, reassuring the octopus in his mind: "A giant monster just means you're big and imposing."

The giant octopus blinked: "Good eye."

Xu Da's hand trembled: "This is too scary!" He glanced around at Xie Sen, "Where's Ah Teng? Did something happen to him?"

Xie Sen quickly replied: "No, we're all fine, he's right next to me." To reassure Xu Da, He turned around, zoomed in on the video, and brought Long Teng, who was sitting on the flying dragon beast not far away, into the frame. "Look, we're all fine..."

He choked up halfway through his sentence. He wanted to say "all fine," but seeing Long Teng's current state, he couldn't continue.

Long Teng stretched out his leg, a big laugh on his face, and said something. The long-necked sea monster stretched out its head and opened its mouth wide to bite him. He pulled his leg back, and the flying dragon beast flew up at the same time. When the sea monster retracted its neck, he made the flying dragon beast lower itself and stretched out his leg to tease the long-necked sea monster.

Each teasing back and forth was very fast, so although Long Teng had a smile on his face, it was still terrifying to watch, as if Long Teng would be bitten at any moment.

The viewers in the live broadcast room screamed again. The more composed people began to guess Xie Sen's location, while some thrill-seekers flooded the screen with messages.

"Streamer, how much? Take me on an adventure!"

"So cool! I always feel like the streamer will encounter thrilling and fun things wherever he goes, and always has unexpected gains."

"Yeah, I think I just saw a Flying Lion Beast!"

"Me too! Maine was there too, he must have formed a bond."

"Today, I'm still a lemon!"

Xie Sen was oblivious to the comments, laughing awkwardly, and said to Xu Da, "It's really nothing, A-Teng was just teasing."

Xu Da knew Long Teng very well, and laughed, "Haha, I can tell, you brat, you're always restless!"

Xie Sen smiled, thinking about retrieving his water energy, and didn't say much. He instructed his contracted beasts to listen to Xu Da, and appealed to the viewers in the live stream to take care of their contracted beasts, then hung up the communication.

He reached out and tapped the octopus tentacle on his shoulder: "Take it off." The octopus monster retracted its tentacle, curiously watching his next move.

Xie Sen pulled Maine slowly towards the edge of the Megalodon's back. Maine gripped Xie Sen's left hand tightly, and Xie Sen smiled back at him, "With you here, I'm sure I'll be alright."

Maine nodded solemnly, "Yes, I'll protect you."

Xie Sen crouched down, looking at the dark water, clenching his fist, then opening it and dipping his hand into the water.

The temperature of the peony on his shoulder suddenly rose, and the heat where his hand touched the water also increased rapidly, energy quickly rushing through his arm into his shoulder.

Xie Sen's face was tense as he nervously watched the water. The seawater moved rapidly towards his palm, but it didn't create any walls of waves or huge waves; it looked exceptionally calm.

Usually, the energy recovery was very fast, but this time, because the energy was too dispersed, the recovery was very slow.

The Megalodon's back was slippery, and Xie Sen put pressure on his feet as he stepped on the edge. As time passed, his legs became increasingly sore.

As the energy surged into the five-colored peony on his shoulder, the temperature there rose steadily, eventually reaching a scalding level. The heat then spread from his shoulder, slowly engulfing his entire body.

Xie Sen frowned, a sense of panic creeping into his heart. He tried to pull his hand back, but found the water seemed to possess an irresistible pull, preventing him from doing so.

"Adan, what's going on?" he asked in his mind.

Adan explained, "Most of the water energy has been recovered, and the five elements' energy has gathered and begun to circulate. It cannot be stopped midway."

Xie Sen said, "My body is getting hotter and hotter, and I feel something is wrong."

Adan said, "Don't be afraid, this is a normal reaction. Your compatibility with this body is getting higher and higher under the circulation of the five elements, but..." He hesitated for a moment, "Your body may not be able to withstand the stimulation and you may fall into a coma." As

he spoke, his voice immediately rose, "But don't worry, this is a good thing, you will definitely be fine! When you wake up, your body will be much better than before, eh..."

Hearing this, Xie Sen did not immediately ask Adan what was 'eh' about, but turned to look at Maine, wanting to tell Maine that he might fall into a coma, so as not to worry Maine.

As a result, when he turned his head, it felt as if an iron ball rolled from one side to the other in his brain, and a strong sense of dizziness came over him. Before he could speak, he lost consciousness.

Maine's expression changed drastically, and she hugged him and stepped back, "Asen!"

Xie Sen lay softly in his arms, unresponsive.

Maine's eyes widened in shock. She hugged Xie Sen tightly, kissing him all over his face, crying, "Xie Sen, Xie Sen, wake up!"

Bai Jiao, who had been watching their situation closely, immediately told Long Teng, "Go quickly."

The flying dragon was incredibly fast, and soon reached the top of the megalodon. Long Teng, carrying Bai Jiao, jumped onto its back, ran to Maine's side, and squatted down, anxiously asking, "What happened to Xie Sen?"

Maine stared intently at Xie Sen, as if she hadn't heard him.

Bai Jiao reached out to grab Xie Sen's hand, but Maine grabbed his wrist, giving him a cold look. Bai Jiao said, "Don't panic, let me check on him."

Maine's eyes flickered, and he released Xie Sen's hand. "He suddenly fainted."

Bai Jiao nodded to indicate that he understood and examined Xie Sen. He said, "His pulse and heart rate are normal, and there are no signs of poisoning, but his body temperature is too high. It's best to take him to the hospital for a detailed examination."

Maine's expression softened slightly. He picked up Xie Sen and stood up. The Flying Lion Beast flew to his side. He said, "Let's go to the hospital now."

The Flying Lion Beast and the Flying Dragon Beast carried the four of them to the nearest hospital on Blue Star. Three sea monsters and a long-necked monster followed them in the water for a while, making various noises, but received no response.

The giant squid extended a tentacle and slammed it at the octopus monster: "You must have accidentally poisoned Asen!"

The octopus monster's big eyes darted around, then it entangled the giant squid's tentacle: "Impossible, it's not my fault. Didn't you hear his friend say there were no signs of poisoning?"

The squid continued to lash out at the octopus with its other tentacle: "His friend was just comforting him. It's your fault, you idiot."

The octopus monster swung its tentacle back: "Absolutely nothing to do with me," it said, dragging the squid outside, "You come with me and wait for the results. It's not my fault, you're just an idiot."

Shortly after, Lanny received a report: "Your Highness, they've come out of the Sea of Death. One of them seems to be unconscious."

Lanny frowned: "Send the video."

Soon, Lanny saw two rapidly advancing contracted beasts in the video, along with the people on their backs. His gaze fell on Shesen, who was being held by Maine with his eyes closed.

"What's the situation in the Sea of Death?" he asked.

"The sea monsters that crossed the edge have returned to the Dead Sea. The blue whales have remained in the edge area."

Lanny's expression shifted slightly. It seemed that the sea monsters' return to normal was very likely related to Xie Sen.

Lanny said, "From today onwards, increase patrols along the Dead Sea's border." After giving the order, he said to Ximai, "Have someone follow Long Teng and the others, and keep a close eye on their movements."

Ximai: "Yes."

Xie Sen woke up three days later in the evening. He opened his eyes and immediately saw Maine sitting by the bed, his expression cold and his face pale. Maine

was like a delicate but emotionless statue, his eyes staring straight at him, his pupils unfathomable. The room was dimly lit, and Maine was sitting with his back to the light, his features shrouded in shadow, making him quite frightening at first glance.

Xie Sen's heart skipped a beat, but he quickly calmed down. Seeing Maine's bloodless face, he felt a pang of heartache and was about to speak when he saw Maine close his eyes.

Xie Sen was taken aback, then realized that Maine might be exhausted. He wondered how long Xie Sen had been unconscious, but judging from Maine's expression, he must have been watching over him the whole time.

He raised his hand to check the time, but before he could do so, a large hand gripped his tightly. Then everything went dark as Maine braced himself against him, shielding him beneath him, his gaze fixed on Xie Sen, his voice dry: "You're really awake?"

Xie Sen blinked, and upon hearing the word "really," he instantly understood.

Maine had closed his eyes not because he was tired, but because he thought he was hallucinating when he saw Xie Sen open them!

He felt even more heartache and forced a smile to comfort him: "Yes." But he couldn't help but frown after saying just one word; his throat was too dry.

Maine asked anxiously, "Where do you feel unwell?"

Xie Sen cleared his throat, "Nothing, just a little thirsty," he reached out and touched Maine's face, "You look terrible, are you injured? What happened later? How long was I unconscious?"

Maine looked deeply at him, bent down and hugged him tightly, not daring to pull too hard, "It's okay, you were unconscious for three days."

Xie Sen frowned and reached out to push him away, "If you're okay, why are you like this? Don't tell me you haven't eaten anything these past few days!"

Maine didn't move, just hugged him and rubbed against his neck.

Xie Sen sighed, feeling a little strange, "I don't even feel hungry."

"I give you intravenous nutrition every day," Maine said.

Xie Sen moved his hands, feeling a surge of power within him. He thought of Adan's words and smiled; it seemed that his physical condition had improved after the energy recovery.

Remembering Adan's earlier "Huh," he was a little concerned. He called out to Adan in his mind, but received no response. He glanced at his right shoulder; all five petals were bright. He felt relieved and guessed that Adan might be asleep. He decided to contact it later.

He reached out and pinched Maine's nape: "Get up, I want to take a shower, and you need to eat something too."

Maine released him, her hands still braced against the side of the bed, her eyes deep: "Why did you faint before?"

Xie Sen said, "The five energies corresponding to the petals gathered, and my body couldn't handle the stimulation, so I fainted." He smiled, "Don't worry, this is a good thing, my body is much better than before."

As he spoke, he reached out and pinched Maine's chin: "Sorry to make you worry, I didn't expect to faint before. I turned around to tell you, but I fainted before I could say it."

Maine grabbed his hand and bit it lightly, then reached out and picked him up: "It's good that you're alright, let's go back to the hotel, I hate it here."

Xie Sen kicked his feet: "Put me down, I can walk by myself."

Maine refused decisively, pulling his waist tighter: "I won't let go."

When they reached the door of the ward, they encountered Long Teng and Bai Jiao who had come to visit, and Xie Sen's face was somewhat embarrassed.

Long Teng spoke very quickly: "Great, Ah Sen, you're finally awake!"

Bai Jiao asked, "Is anything bothering you?"

Xie Sen shook his head: "I'm fine, sorry to have worried you."

Long Teng smiled brightly: "It's good that you're alright."

Bai Jiao glanced at Mei Yin and joked, "If you hadn't woken up, you might be fine, but others would be."

Mei Yin's expression remained unchanged: "I'll take him back to the hotel." Bai

Jiao said: "Okay, you can take Ah Sen directly there, I'll handle the discharge procedures."

Mei Yin looked at him: "Thank you."

After the two left, Long Teng put his hand on Bai Jiao's shoulder, still feeling lingering fear: "It's a good thing Ah Sen woke up, Mei Yin has been so scary these past few days!"

Bai Jiao walked towards the check-in counter and, hearing this, chuckled: "You're still afraid of something?"

Long Teng said: "Of course," he tilted his head, "Actually, it's not that I'm afraid of Mei Yin, it's just that looking at him makes me feel uncomfortable."

Bai Jiao smiled upon hearing this: "Because he loves Ah Sen very much and worries about Ah Sen." As he spoke, he couldn't help but show a look of envy in his eyes.

Long Teng laughed, "Yes, my father loves Dad very much. Mei Yin loves Asen just like my father loves my dad!"

He then looked puzzled, "What is love? Dad, I'll know when I experience it, but how will I know?"

Bai Jiao's emotional world was a blank slate; all his understanding came from family and fictional works. Hearing this, he subconsciously thought for a moment, "It's probably just wanting to be with that person, wanting to be close, wanting to protect them, being emotionally affected by them."

Long Teng blinked, turned to look at him, his clear black and white eyes appearing exceptionally bright. He smiled brightly, "That's how I feel about you, so, have I fallen in love with you?"

Bai Jiao froze, his heart inexplicably racing. He unconsciously twirled his hair that crossed his shoulder, then smiled after a while, "No, we're friends. Friends and lovers are different."

Long Teng immediately asked, "How are they different?"

Bai Jiao thought for a moment, "Lovers are closer," he coughed, "I don't really understand either. I'm going to take care of the formalities."

Long Teng watched his retreating figure, muttering, "Closer, huh?"

Back in the hotel room, Maine carried Xie Sen directly to the bathroom. Xie Sen tried several times to walk by himself, but Maine firmly refused. Seeing his pale face, Xie Sen had no choice but to go along with him.

Once in the bathroom, Maine finally put him down and went to run the hot water. Xie Sen turned to leave, but before he could take a step, Maine hugged him tightly from behind: "Where are you going?"

Xie Sen pointed to the sink behind the frosted glass: "To brush my teeth." He turned his head and saw Maine's tense expression, so he patted Maine's hand. "Don't be nervous, I'll tell you where I'm going." Maine

hummed in agreement, but didn't let go, pulling him to the sink and watching him brush his teeth. After

Xie Sen finished brushing his teeth, he turned and kissed Maine on the corner of his lips: "I'm going to take a shower. Order dinner, we'll eat together later."

Maine looked at him, hesitated for a moment, and then nodded. After Xie Sen finished showering, he had dinner with Maine. Seeing that Maine's face had regained some color, he smiled and patted his face: "You're an adult now, you need to take care of yourself. You're not allowed to skip meals anymore, understand?"

Maine stared at him for a while: "As long as you're alright."

He said, then got up and went to the bathroom. He didn't close the door, so Xie Sen could see his figure clearly. This hazy vision, combined with the sound of the shower, made people even more imaginative.

Xie Sen's face flushed slightly. He coughed lightly, cleaned the dinner trash into a bag, opened the door, and placed the bag outside so the waiter could easily collect it.

He closed the door and was about to turn around when Mei Yin suddenly swept him up from behind. Startled, he turned and saw Mei Yin's bare chest. His gaze swept downwards, his face turning red: "Why did you come out like this?"

Mei Yin remained silent, her face expressionless, and threw him directly onto the bed. Xie Sen braced himself on his elbows, his upper body leaning forward only slightly before Mei Yin pressed down on him, followed by a deluge of kisses.

Xie Sen was forced to arch his neck, and Mei Yin cupped the back of his head with one hand while tearing off his bathrobe with the other, quickly stripping him naked.

A long time later, the room quieted down. Xie Sen lay on the bed, slowly catching his breath. He and Mei Yin had made love many times, but never with such intensity.

He also genuinely felt that his body had improved significantly. Before, he would be exhausted after two times, but now, even after three times, he only experienced lower back pain and a slight soreness in a certain area.

A dense tickling sensation came from behind him, but he didn't care much. He was used to Maine's actions and was easily soothed by his kisses. However, the strong smell in the room made his heart race.

He bent his leg, not knowing where he touched Maine, and said in a slightly hoarse voice, "Turn on the air vent in the room."

Maine grabbed his foot and kissed his ankle, got up to turn on the air vent, went to the bathroom to run hot water, then picked up Xie Sen and put him in the bathtub. Looking at the marks on Xie Sen's body, he frowned slightly and said remorsefully, "I'm sorry."

Xie Sen turned his head and bit his chin: "Is this what you should apologize for? You forgot to wear a condom the first time!" He said, his face turning red. It was fine when he was lying on his stomach, but now that he was sitting, it was more noticeable.

After the initial embarrassment, he couldn't help but look at his stomach, shuddered, and grabbed Maine's arm: "What if I'm pregnant? Go buy birth control pills!"

Maine cleaned his back and reassuringly kissed his cheek: "Don't worry, the chance of getting pregnant in one go is zero. Birth control pills are illegal, and birth rates are declining on every planet. Harming a child is against the law."

Seeing how certain he was, Xie Sen thought that the females here must have different constitutions than modern women, relaxed, and warned: "You must be careful in the future, or you're not allowed to actually do it."

Maine promised: "Okay."

The next day, Xie Sen and the other three had just finished breakfast when Ximai came to find them, saying that Lanny wanted to see them.

Xie Sen wanted to talk to Lanny about the previously interrupted deal, so he followed Ximai to the lobby on the 87th floor.

Lanny's gaze swept across his face, and after the four of them were seated opposite him, he asked, "What did you do in the Sea of Death?"

Xie Sen smiled and said, "Nothing much, just restored the Sea of Death to its original state." He changed the subject, "How about we continue with the deal we discussed last time?"

Lanny said, "I can agree to your request to make the buying and selling of contracted beasts illegal. Blue Star prohibits the buying and selling of contracted beasts. However, I need more food."

Xie Sen thought for a moment, "Besides watermelons and chili peppers, I can also provide potatoes and rice. I can tell you their approximate growing conditions. As for other plants, I don't have any for now."

He didn't know much about black fungus; it wasn't technically a plant, but a type of fungus that didn't have seeds and grew on wood.

Lanny said, "Temporarily?"

Xie Sen thought to himself that Lanny was indeed perceptive. "The Brant Planet Botanical Research Institute has been researching various plants, and the number of edible plants will increase. If you are interested, you can establish foreign trade relations with Brant Planet. After Brant Planet's plants are mass-produced, we will give priority to selling them to Brant Planet."

Lanny's eyes narrowed slightly. "Edible plants on various planets have been studied for many years, and progress has been slow, but you seem very confident that plants can be mass-produced."

Xie Sen smiled. He couldn't reveal the system, so he made up a more credible explanation: "I am a plant-type beast master, and I am very perceptive about plants. Believe me, this is the era of the most rapid development of plants."

Lanny looked at it for a while and nodded. "I agree. I will contact the upper echelons of Brant Planet later."

As Lanny spoke, he opened his bracelet, sent out a command, and soon a professional sent him a contract. He flipped through it to make sure it was correct, signed his name, exchanged contact information with Xie Sen, and sent it to Xie Sen.

Lanny said, "If there are no problems, sign it."

Xie Sen opened the screen, and the four of them looked at the contract together. The contract was in duplicate, and each copy had a legal clause at the end, concerning the prohibition of the sale of contracted beasts on Blue Star.

Xie Sen asked, "Can you make that decision?" After all, Lanny was only the eldest prince, and he felt that such legal clauses would require many procedures to be finalized.

Lanny raised an eyebrow: "Of course, are you questioning my abilities?"

Xie Sen said, "No." He confirmed that the contract was correct, signed it, and then sent one copy back to Lanny.

Xie Sen kept the contract safe, took out potatoes and rice, and told Lanny about the growing conditions and cultivation methods.

Lanny had the relevant personnel from Blue Star's plant research take the plants away and said to Xie Sen, "Given our cooperative relationship, I would like to remind you that the number of people entering Blue Star has surged in the past two days. Please be careful when you travel."

Xie Sen was puzzled and pointed to himself: "What does this have to do with us?"

Lanny said, "It seems you haven't been watching the interstellar news."

Xie Sen turned to ask Maine, who shook his head. He had been watching over Xie Sen these past few days and hadn't paid attention to anything else.

Long Teng immediately said, "I've seen it, Ah Sen. Your livestream is all the rage in the interstellar space. You even have a nickname—'The Man Who Laughed and Talked in the Sea of Death.'"

Bai Jiao added, "This is the headline from the day you were unconscious." As he spoke, he opened his bracelet and pulled up that day's report.

Xie Sen's lips twitched. What the hell was this? He looked at Bai Jiao's screen. The headline was the same as Bai Jiao's, and the content contained many screenshots.

The first few pictures showed him standing on black ground, with a giant octopus emerging from behind him. The photos circled the tail of the Flying Lion Beast and the tentacles of the Giant Squid in the blank space, and also noted the name of the entity.

The following screenshots showed him turning around, with Long Teng teasing the long-necked sea monster. One of the photos had a low field of view, revealing the sea surface and exposing the head of the 'black ground entity' he was standing on—the Megalodon.

The Megalodon was also circled and noted.

The most liked comment was: "That's awesome! Streamer, wait, I'm coming to find you!"

"Streamer, name your price! I want to stand on the back of a Megalodon too!"
