The maids went back to their duties while the kings returned to their kingdoms. Lord Cruns returned to his kingdom looking pissed.
"How dare he speak to us like that just because he is the lord? I can take that away from him and have his mate," his thoughts were distracted by the sudden intruder. It turned out to be Rachel Aiden, his whore who carried herself like a queen just because she was the only one he fucked. She's a witch.
"What are you doing here, Rachel?" Cruns asked.
"Charlice, are you not happy to see me?" Rachel asked seductively but was knocked out of breath as Cruns held her neck tightly while her legs were above the floor.
"How dare you call my name, uh?" He tightened his grip and she found it difficult to talk due to the force.
"Ple...ase... Pl...e...ase... L...et...m...e..." Before she could complete it, he freed her and she started coughing as she sucked in air greedily. After a while, she stood up.
"I'm sorry, my lord, but I can calm you down, you know," Rachel spoke seductively.
"Leave. I'm not in the mood," Charlice ordered, and quickly she stood up and ran out. Lord Cruns sighed and his mind drifted to the past.

Two thirteen-year-old boys were playing around the field. Chris and Charlice were their names. They met when Chris was still getting over his father's death; since then they became friends. As usual, they were playing football when they heard a strange noise. Curiously, they followed the sound and saw a strange being — almost like a bear but with the mane of a lion, his face hardly seen, and female hands but the body of a bear. When the boys saw such a horrifying combination, they sneakily tried to escape, but one of them stepped on dry leaves which alerted the strange being.
"Harrrrcruuu," the being growled and charged towards the boys, and the boys ran for their lives. One ran faster than the other, and Charlice fell down, but Chris was so engrossed in getting out of there that he failed to notice him. Charlice's heart broke into a million pieces with the thought that his friend had abandoned him, so he faced his fate.
A monster hunter was searching for something when he saw the being about to take a boy. He suddenly brought his powerful arrow and shot in the being's direction. It struck its heart and it fell down flat on the ground. Charlice looked up to his saviour and he was glad that he was not dead. Not wanting to return home, he followed the hunter and they built up a castle named "The Black Castle" meant for those hurt, betrayed, helpless, and revengeful.

Charlice sighed and went out of his room with one thought in his mind: "Chris, I will make you pay!!!"
*Later in the evening*
Lord Mars requested for his dinner, sitting on a chair, reading reports and files.
"Knock knock," the maid knocked on the door.
"Come in," he said, and she came in. It turned out to be Mia. Mars was glad and he watched her every move. Unaware of his stare, Mia turned to call him over to eat but was frightened by his sudden closeness.
"How did he get so close?" Mia thought, trying hard not to stare at his cute face.
"M...y lo...r...d, your fo...od is ready," she stammered, but Mars continued staring at the girl he had waited for years. After some minutes of silence, he broke it.
"You may leave," he said, and Mia quickly ran out like a flash.
"Why is she so scared around me?" he asked himself.
"Because you're too cold, with that face of yours did you expect her to be calm?" Marcus asked, but Mars ignored him.

Mia and Lola returned back to their room after finishing their job. Mia couldn't stop thinking about what happened a few minutes ago in Lord Mars' room — his silence, his closeness, and cuteness.
"Mia," Lola called.
"Huh," she answered.
"I have been calling you. What are you thinking?" Lola asked with concern.
"Nothing at all. I am so tired, let's go to bed," without waiting for Lola's response, she lay on the bed.
"What is wrong with her?" Lola thought, lying on the bed. She slept.
*At night in the maid quarters...*
A man in a black robe walked into their room, casting a spell of deep slumber in the room, and sat down staring at her sleeping face.
"Our mate is beautiful, isn't she?" Marcus asked Mars.
"Yes she is, but she has not felt the mate bond," Mars said.
"That is because she's a human and can't feel it fast," Marcus explained.
"She makes me crazy."
